How exactly does it work? How do you choose what song it plays and can you change it afterwards? Is it worth 20k minerals? I wanna be sure i dont screw it up after buying it so might as well understand how it works before buying it.

nuu, it's really not worth it. you can go to projectplaylist, find the song, ask for the URL and it gives you the mp3 form of it. copy paste that into the box that asks for he mp3 URL. it's the only site that i know works for it atm. other do, no doubt, i just don't know where they are. i just got it because i had the mins, and even then i had to buy it twice because the first time, it's didn't work.
I beg of you. Please don't use this function. I find it obnoxious when I go to any webpage and it starts playing (sometimes because I hate the music, always because it interferes with what I'm listening to), and I'm not alone. If you must include it on your page at least keep it paused so I can play it if I want (if that's not an option call the webmaster to complain) Those obnoxious playlists are the main reason I don't go to Myspace

Dude, why not just pause it when it starts up? It's fairly obvious, and if it started off paused, then no-one would pay any attention to them. Besides, you're visiting their page, so why expect them to compensate for want you want? It's their page, they should be able to customise it however they want and they should also be able to share whatever music they want with others. It's not obnoxious, it's just them expressing themselves my sharing the music they like.
Well if you don't press play then you don't care about the music so what's the point of it starting in the first place? If I want to know what music you like then I will pause my own music and then play yours. That ALSO seems fairly obvious. People have the right to play music in their cars with the volume turned all the way up; that doesn't make it any less obnoxious. Also while I can pause it, I often open pages in another tab and don't know the music is there till it blows out my eardrums. Anyways, I consider it more of a fault of the programmer for having the music autostart. I sometimes enjoy the same music as others and will often pause my own music to browse other people's playlist. I just think that the music shouldn't be forced upon someone, it should be the viewers choice to listen to it.
No, it's not that if it started off paused people would choose not to play it, it's that everyone would forget it was there. Seriously, where do you look when you're visiting someone's page? The visitor messages, statistics, friends, etc. I don't see anyone searching to find the background music, simply because it's a new feature and easily forgotten. And simply stating the music you like is nowhere near comparable to having background music on a profile. For example, although it's most likely obsolete in this context, if I were to say I liked Midnight Oil songs, particularly Tone Poem, Blue Sky Mine, Read About It, My Country, etc, what would you, and others, think? You'd probably look over it immediately, and on top of that, what with them being an Aussie band, you'd most likely be hard-pressed to even say what genre they are. Compare that to if I played them on my page. Regardless of whether you like background music or not, you'd get far more of an impression, and seeing as I'm fairly certain that you'd get a lot more of an impression. And about blaring music in cars, that's a very different situation. A more accurate analogy would be if you chose to go over to someone's house, listening to your MP3, to find that they're playing their own music. You're going to their domain. They should be able to do what they choose. To put it simply, it's anything but forced. You're choosing to go there, so they should be able to play the music they want. Besides, if it didn't automatically start, chances are next to nobody would even know it existed yet. It would have such a reduced usability it wouldn't even be worth it.
I like having music for the sole reason it reflects my avatar because it's from the same anime. I'm nit trying to be rude-aimed at you, BoP-but I kinda wanted that theme for my profile. I didn't know it bothered you, sorry. That being said, I'm not removing it xD
OK everyone raise your hand if you care who listens to your music. If it's paused and no one plays it what does it matter? Some people have picture albums and people don't always visit those either.
