Goog luck trying to check if an entry has been ripped from the net or not.

 

You have to provide a picture in the editor.

 

It'd take about 10 minutes to disassemble a picture and create layers of the parts with fake effects.

You could do that in the signature competition too. Do you have any ideas how to prevent that?

 

Wallpapers are much more widespread than small pictures called signatures... most people don't even know what they are, which is why it'd be extremely hard to find a sig matching the theme of the competition, but it'd take no more than a few minutes to find a wallpaper with the given theme. Hence there's little to no risk of someone ripping a sig from the net, which can't be said in the case of wallpapers.

There's no way of preventing this. I was merely implying that a wallpaper competition might not be such a good idea because of this easy back door.

ps I assume our names can't be on the submission to ensure anonymous voting?

Ya my only question is can we use just a picture from the internet as in for one part of the wallpaper? Or does it have to be all from scratch? The one I've done is almost all from scratch except a small picture I needed.

Imageshack won't let me store high resolution images and I suspect that other sites are just as strict. I can't get my entry to you via PM... could I send my submission to an e-mail address (yours or some mod's)?
