I feel pretty stupid for falling for this, but apparently there was some sort of "SC2 Demo" that I picked off of SC2Z.com (starcraft 2 zone?) that was ran through something called "Zango" about 10 minutes later after having it installed AVG detects ad ware on my computer and the file name was identified as "Zango". Please, if you see something like this, don't install it, its most likely a virus/infection waiting to happen, thank god my anti-virus picked it up!
I'm sorry but I lolled. How could you think you could get a demo at this time of the progress? Blizzard is practically on a lockdown, there's no way there is a leaked pre-alpha version available on the internet. But good to hear you're safe and thanks for the headsup
I know thats why I felt dumb for downloading it.... I just had this Christmas-morning kind of excitement that just dumbed me down enough to make me download it /slaps self.
I saw an "SC2 Demo" as well but decided against it. There wasn't any links to an official download at Blizzard, so I knew something was wrong.
I don't. I don't even remember the last time I met one and I have no idea how people find so many viruses. I don't even have any protection against them because I don't need a program that constantly claims how cool it is while all it does is slow down my system. I use my common sense when downloading/running stuff.
Lol, I downloaded Zango by accident once, I kept on getting pop-ups saying..... uh... bad things.....
