Waves of Keys?

Apparently according to other websites and forums a second wave of Beta keys have been sent out, some people say its just the Blizzcon people and others say the people who opted in got them as well.

How about the rest of the people in this forum? Has anyone else been getting keys or extra ones for that matter? (due to opt in +blizzcon)

For myself its again a fail.... sigh
And how often do you think the "waves" of keys will be unleashed upon the public? (or should)

yeah blizzard is releasing invites in waves. i still didn't get one though

yeah im pretty much basing a lot of me getting a beta key on luck since i never attended a blizzcon event. nor did i partake in any comic drawing contest or video contest. Only contest i took part in was the april fools contest and they haven't even annonced the winners of that contest yet!

but i opted-in and are hoping and praying for one. its just sad to see a lot of people scamming beta keys or selling them for an arm and a leg to players who actually enjoy and love starcraft

 

We'll never get a key..

 

I really want a beta key but I'd flunk out this semester of college if I did. It's better for my future family that I never get beta. Might as well throw in another four year development time as well so I can be out of college

And in a way it is actually better then getting a key. We don't have to be the testing guinea pigs. We will get the finished product without having to test it . We can get our lives in order before the lure of beta. Cause we all know when retail comes out, we'll lose a lot of our feww time to the game.

Well when do suicide and go to hell ask Diablo if he has the beta there for you to play .

 

I got my key via the second wave, so it does happen.

 

It's like the lottery. People do win. But also many many more do not win.
And I do believe you that more and more beta keys are getting given out all the time.

But I do suspect us who uploaded Mac computer specs are being held back till the OS X beta is released.

 

Ah congrats Neon, did u go to BLizzcon or was it a opt in key?

One my friends opted in after the first wave and got his key in the second... I'm very sad... more so cause I told him to opt in.

One thing I'm surprised is the time interval between the waves... I would have thought that it would more like 2 weeks, not that i'm complaining gives me more chance to get- oh what am I saying I'll never get a key when i can use it

 

MyWifeforauir: My story is a bit odd- I did have a key from Blizzcon 07, but I thought it could only be used for the WotLK beta, so I activated it intending to give it to a friend. Later on, I missed the chance to opt-in for the first round of in-forum beta keys by not logging in for a while. Eventually, the beta FAQ said that even older unused keys could be used for SC2... but I didn't have one anymore!

So while I expected to get into beta sooner or later, the lottery decided sooner was what would happen.

 

im still waiting with everyone else, im used to it though.

 

Oddly enough, there are people reporting getting a second key. I guess the only good thing is the keys are going down in price on ebay

*EDIT* And they didn't go to Blizzcon

 

If people are getting a 2nd Key that's like wtf Blizzard. Even if they went to Blizzcon. Blizzard would have a record of those people and not give them a key in the lottery cause they already have them. Seriously some people with 2-3 keys and others with none.

It's very hard to call that situation fair. because it is so not fair.

 

blizzard should also do a beta for preorder of sc2 would be so AWESOME!

 

so wait? if you have a blizzcon card with the polar bear mount and all that wont give you a sc2 beta key right away? you still have to wait to receive one through your email? oh man i'm confused.

 

And have many miss out on the opportinuty to preorder the retail version. I don't think so. If that ever happened, I'd send Blizzard a lot of hate mail. And I don't think the lost sales that would cause is in Blizzards best interests.
