imagine, you have good writers, with good concept, what advice would you give them for a good series

it can both be a general idea, or it can be very specific

    For me its

1: have as many story elements return as possible, it makes the series feel more realistic
2: give epic scenes epic music, it really makes the scene cooler
3: make the music near the end of the battles won by the good guys a bit jolly, its no use to only have sad music

I think I might be of some help with this field. A few things that make a series better are just the following of basic principles.

-Take and Give in equal portions.
-Continuity is a must, but spontaneity cannot be neglected.
-Characters that develop over the course of a series are stronger than tag-along characters.
-This is one I like to follow especially. No character is immune from death, even in the most random of ways. This however, is something that should not happen for no good reason. This is one method that adds plenty of possible plot.
-Reoccurring themes throughout a series are something that must be carefully monitored as if you start a theme in a previous section of the series you want to either continue that theme or wrap it up within that novel.
-Avoid Info Dumps. If you are going to write over a series of works then less is more in most cases.
-If an event has repercussions make sure everyone is affected by them. There are no favorites in life as much as we would like to think so.
-Cliche is a word people use for events that they themselves didn't think of first, ignore it for the most part and write what you think suits best, not something that isn't cliche. Sometimes cliche is better than you think. Note* Do not overwork cliche that leads to disaster as countless series have proven.

I would put more but I would just tend to get down to nitty gritty details in what I think are facets of a strong story series.
