What games do you think have the best music?

That is a question I've tried to answer for ages as I think some of their musics are really really good. And I'd like to see what you all think. And what games you think have really good soundtracks.

Dark Void: a perfectly mediocre game scored by the incomparable Bear McCreary. You just HAVE to hear the bass line to this --particularly the solo at the end.

Another game that most of you here have probably never played is MYST III: Exile --the soundtrack is all shades of awesome.

Bioshock --the music in that game is unforgettable.

And let's not forget Halo. The game is so popular, and its music so ubiquitous that we often forget just how good it is.

For Handhelds, Pokemon Gold/Silver had a good soundtrack, better than the more recent pokemon games IMO. I haven't played that game in years and I can still remember a lot of tunes from it, haven't played the remakes yet.

Annnnd a reeeeeeeally old game called Tronic. Man. That game had some kickin tunes.

I second Tyrian 2000's music. It's pretty good. And the best in it's day.

To Kaaraa:
I think the MP trilogy just has music you don't really think too hard about. To me it really made me feel like I was Samus and really there on those planets. It so immersed me in the games. So in that respect they are full of win. And for me I like the MP1 the best. And Super Metroid's music is pretty good too.

Sure. That's mostly ok. But for me 3 Mega Man games music stick out as really good in my opinion. A cut above all the other MM games.

Not my favourite though cause I'm really not into anything rock based. I'm more a dance/electro fan. But I can admit if something is good even if it's not my thing.
