Where are my skirmish maps? versus AI etc

I went straight into the campaign me, and have only now decided to play skirmish, but when i click it...there is nothing there?? no maps at all, from blizzard or by users or anything :S.

I clicked single player > versus ai > then it says "no content found" wtf??

Then Mp>Custom games> again, theres NOTHING here wtf :S!!

I can play online fine but nothing in skirmish, vs ai or if i "create"

have i done something wrong here?

I have challenges, np.

I hate to say this............
I HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE T_T. Then again my machine is super slow... but skirmishes should play faster then campaign missions that have a lot of detail. Can you post as much as you can about your system specs and whether or not you are using a laptop or desktop?

 

i dont think its what computer your running.. i am having the same problem as well.. nothing shows up on skirmish but my challenges and single player and online work great.. any suggestions?

 

Lol? its nothing to do with PC specs it clearly says "no content found" and the maps section on MP is just empty!! besides online but i dont wanna play online yet.

Anyone got any ideas?

Going to try it on this faster, unblocked internet to see if that makes a difference...

The beta worked fine, go to custom, create game, maps there.

Just looked in my install and there is...no maps folder? :S

Im sorta confused here...theres no maps folder unless its in teh base configs! argh...

Think im gonna post on the blizzard forums, may get more help there.

 

WEIRD, my maps folder IS empty... WTF Weird, I started looking threw my SC2 DVD.. I'm finding references to the enGB client..............


Maybe I can change the system locale and it will install enGB?




But if that was the case, this machine should have installed SC in Japanese.............

 

Even my buddies machine that was able to play the single player skirmishes.. that folder is empty.

It seems the base multiplayer maps are found in Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod. -_-

 

Hmmm...so what are we saying here? no resposne so far on blizz forums.

Bug? patching error? need to always be online? very odd, no one have a work around?

I have always tired it while online.. even on a connection I knew was unrestricted. That's why I can't figure it out. I found the map files so.. its not from a lack of not having them

 

WTF I got over to my buddies and I can access the maps and play mode with no problem?!
Even in guest mode with internet disabled.. still working...

Maybe I just had to have a good connection once to get them to load? WTF

 

so what, we have to download them whilst being connected fist for them to even appear? as in we need an always on connection?

 

I don't know. I mean.. I've always logged in while connected... even if its dialup. I get on my buddies road runner connection, and it suddenly wants to work. I was on a slower Verizon DSL connection today that isn't locked down at all, and was able to log in and not browse the list in single player (even as guest)....

suddenly now its working? Maybe it was some kind of battle.net issue.. unless other people start reporting that its suddenly working for them..... i doubt its a battle.net issue (at least for now).

 

I am having a similar problem. Something caught my eye though, for me in the multiplayer lobby place, the join game and 1v1 game prefs are greyed out and when my cursor is hovering over it, it says somthing along the lines of "cannot use while downloading" would this mean that i have to stay in lobby for ages while maps are being downloaded. by the way, i cant see maps in the VS AI part but i can in multiplayer custom games but cant make a game with them :/

 

No Content Found Error

Hey, I am having the same no content found error...

I was wondering if downloading maps and putting them in the maps folder maually would work... Anyone know where the maps folder is?

 

gah!! i still have no clue , and its pissing me off now ><! its as if i need to manually download the maps too, grr!

I found a way! I was bored of not being able to play versus ai, so i was looking around in my starcraft 2 folder, and I found an editor. I though "Well maybe if i could make a map it would show up" So i tried. When i saved me creation i went into starcraft and all the maps were back!. Hope this helped. And if you have more than 1 starcraft 2 folder, then keep looking in them, it should be in one of them labeld, starcraft editor, or starcraft II editor.

 

Interesting!!! will give that a go but...where did you save the map? the custom map?
