I say that fantasy is a considerably farther stretch for anthropomorphism, since we can cut away a lot of the logical explanations for why something shows those characteristics, making it a much more relaxed concept to grasp IMO. Hopefully I understood the question properly hehe.
Hmmm... I guess I'll go for science-fiction on this one, since the "-fiction" part will eventually cease to exist anyway.
Fantasy is usually much more straight-forward for this kind of thing. You don't have to worry about all the nitty-gritty details to make it sound plausible. However science-fiction, if done properly, might have even greater impact. I voted for fantasy because I was dumb and jumped to conclusion too soon. If it's a wide concept you're looking at I would actually prefer a science-fiction.
sci-fi, because it's imagining what could be. fantasy is ignoring facts we already know and just imagining for fun.
Fantasy can be based on the future or the past. It's just pure imagination. Science-fiction on the other hand, in a traditional sence is more fiction mixed with reality. It's like a predition of how the future will be one day. It's funny to look back at old science fiction from the like 1900's - 1950's and see how much of that stuff is actually in existance today. And a lot of it does actually exist today. And after all of that I'm voting science fiction. As it's a little glimpse of what the future possibly could be.
