I'd go Velociraptor, I don't like the idea of being a scavenger and having smarts seems to out way being strong for me.
Lol. If you think a raptor is just as smart as you, then the raptor is probably smarter. --wink-- They have a higher level of intelligence then other prehistoric creatures, but to say they are on the same level -or even close to- as humans... I would pick the T-Rex. They live longer, are stronger and have a higher rate of survival. Oh, and they only have to scare away others, instead of having to hunt. Raptors smarter? Meh, the T-Rex got the better deal.
They have a larger cranial cavity, layout of fossils hints at heavily coordinated, as well as the fact that it's obvious they were able to take down large prey.
Ants can take down large prey, too. Raptors probably heavily outnumbered their prey and they had the instinct to back away from sudden movements, like lions do from kicks, etc. And when one backs away, the other closes in. No intelligence there, just instincts that make them look intelligent But I voted raptor because their nails kick serious arse from an aesthetic POV.
I don't think the T-Rex was a hunter. I think it was a corpse eater, a scavenger. He is fat, has little arms, and its teeth are not as sharp as those from the velociraptor. This one is a hunter. I voted for T-Rex because I don't want to hunt to get my meat.
