HUMANS: you would pretty much know what to expect because you have the same technology and stuff

ROBOTS: their minds are strictly limited to logic and calculations, which could make their reasoning faster than ours

ALIENS: their technology is completely different from ours, you wouldn't know what to expect

Aliens for the heck of it. Hopefully they are inferior to us and underestimate us.

MAYBE we could EMP the robots and toast them all, unless they find a way to update themselves or get protection...

If they went to a RadioShack, EMP would be worthless except on a huge scale. EM shielded circuits really aren't rare. The only way to set off a strong enough EMP to damage them would be to basically set off nuke, which defeats the purpose of an EMP in the first place.

    Lets put it this way

:Humans:+: We have been doing this for years... What else is new?

:Robots:+: Why did we make robots that we are going to fight against? Anyways they would be faster/stronger/smarter then the average human. They would have better wepons, wouldn't die from a single shot to the chest and they can produce themselves in large numbers(like the Zerg?)

:Aliens:+: If the aliens came here, we lose, they are waaay more teched, and they knew we were here. Do we know that there are aliens? No. Can we travel to a planet and massacare them? No. Could we enslave a race that can travel in space so many lightyears to our planet WITHOUT us knowing and attack us? NO WE CAN NOT. If aliens attack, we are screwed.

McLean, you should check out the trailer for District 9 (it should be on Youtube). It kills your aliens arguement (and is an awesome movie to boot)

    in the terminator, humans win.
in the animatrix, robots win, humans suffer tragic defeat.
the guy in the exposed mech suit shouts "OH GOD!! HELP ME!! AAAAHH!!!" and the sentinel rips him out.

Fighting against humans would be hard, because they are your species, and it would not be easy.
Fighting against aliens would be too hard, because you would nit know what to expect from them, and you would not know how to beat them or their technology. Fighting robots would be easier, just make an EMP(Electro Magnetic Pulse), which knocks down all technology. Send a couple of those bombs to the robots, they are good as dead. Just go destroy them or salvage them. They would probably be the easiest to beat.

Humans easy. We have spent the last 40,000 years coming up with ways to kill each other and judging by our current weaponry we have become very good at it. However it really depends which humans and what the definition of winning the war is. Assuming you win if you survive and you are fighting logical humans there wouldn't be a war at all because neither side has an advantage and both want to survive so the best way to do that is not fight.

That thing was a sentinel? I thought it was one of those harvesters that later works on the fields. Looks about the same. You can see the sentinels in the part where they first show Zero One. They patrol in the middle of the screen in a group of 3 or so.

Also, I would rather fight robots... from Star Wars. Lol. Roger roger. :p

Fighting against humans wouldn't be too easy. Sure, you know what to expect of them. So do they. It's either a truce like LK said or mutual destruction until there's too few to fight anymore.

With aliens we can only really assume they have better tech than us (and that assuming we're using our current tech so obviously it's them coming to us), but that's about it. They might have this one advantage, but what about they're weaponry, physical strenght or strategy? Maybe they wouldn't see many of our tricks coming. We can't know anything.

Robots would be the middle ground, since we can to some extent predict their advantages and weaknessess, but there are still too many variables.

As for my pick, robots. I'd be least sorry for them if I got to kill any

I would choose the Aliens for the challenge and because you can take their technology, study it, and then use it to your advantage.(Assuming they use technology.) Plus there could possibly be the chance if we loose to surrender, and maybe some humans survive.

Humans... Well.. We've been fighting humans for ages, and there hasn't been much progress. So I wouldn't really bother. Depending on the country it would turn to nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare. No body would win but everybody could loose.

Machines: Their logic can be used against them as it makes them predictable in some ways. We would have the advantage to be more unpredictable in a fight against them. The draw back is they would probably consist of full metal bodies so most of our weapons would be useless. They could probably hack most of our technology and turn it against us. This would probably be the worst enemy to fight. I mean we need technology to survive as a race and if it were to turn against us. Well.. We are screwed.

Considering the point that the aliens would have technology way ahead of us, we would not be able to even touch them. For example the movie independence day where aliens attack earth, the only way they could beat the aliens, is because 50 years prior to the attack, a scout ship from those aliens crashed on earth. Then we could write a virus that would over ride their shields. But, that wont happen with these aliens, we would be just fighting a hopeless war. Robots would be the easiest to fight. Just send an EMP(Electro Magnetic Pulse) at their locations, and all electronics in the area would be down. As for humans, just use simple biological warfare. Just a couple of powerful viruses combined, and they are good as dead. Humans would be harder to fight then robots mainly because making these viruses would not be easy, and delivering it would be hard as well, but an EMP wave would be fairly easy to launch.
