every time you tell them a problem they sigh and think back of the good ol' days when they were teenagers and get this look in their eyes and cant stop talking about the past I DONT WANT TO KNOW HOW IT ALL WAS BACK IN YOUR DAYS WHEN WE ARE TALKING ABOUT MY PROBLEMS.

Uhm.. maybe It's just me.. but my parents are awesome. We talk about many things and generally agree.
mmkay, i talk to my rents about a lot. but some stuff, no, never. like, i get the BS 'you can talk to us about anything' speech. and i know they mean well, i just don't feel like being interrogated by my rents, who don't understand just because literally they have not done with stuff i have (not being angsty, i really mean some of it). i'd rather talk to someone like iunno, my friend in florida or foxy about it because they can give me input and not cross examine me about everything from here to narnia. i just wanna feel, and i'll explain my reasons, but i don't want any of the 'it'll be better, honey' stuff. i want an actual convo, if imma talk about it, and i just don't feel comfortable with heart to hearts with my rents.
