just the other day i was playing and the terran "scv rushed" me. i want to ask anyone for help, replays or their experiences with the dreaded worker rush.
You have to scout first and foremost. However, I would hardly call it dreaded. As Z, you will have way more workers than the T. As T, you can seal yourself in. As P, you can kite to regenerate shields. Just make use of racial traits...
Yeah but my macro sucks I just figured out the extractor trick after that I am mainly kidding on the dreaded part. The thing is though that I was going to scout when the scv scout came in followed closely by his other blue collar friends. Funny thing is when I chatted with him he told me to micro better. So what's better when using workers to fight, a surround or a hit and run?
If you're Z then you outnumber him, which means you need a surround, which means you need to fight in the open. Use the mineral pathing trick to clip through SCVs and form perfect surrounds.
I really dont see the problem here as i cant imagine myself loosing to a SCV rush but i remember when my sister used to probe-rush and she won like 4 out of 5 games.... so maybe its not that easy i dunno oO
im confused, the only way you lose to a worker rush, is by almost doing nothing. just micro better like he said, try to surround his workers before he does it to you.
Select all workers, right-click one of the side patches, then right-click the other side, rinse and repeat until they're clumped up, then wait for enemy workers to go into your mineral line, a-move in the middle.
