Just a little something in response to earth day pls. vote and post why here is my reason: i think we should reconvert to new ideas to save earth, its the only home we have right now, so like one of the members said, "go plant a tree" but of course we can all do more than that, we can think of new ideas to save earth.
You know science is changing and developing all the time, and even though we should listen to what scientists have to say, we shouldn't just accept there theories as absolutes either, just as possibilities or ideas. You know many years ago in the 80's and 90's they said by the year 2000 we would have worldwide starvation and 80% of the worlds species would be extinct if we didn't change our energy sources, guess what its 9 years after that date and none of that has happened yet. There are actually scientists against the whole "global warming" and "we need to save the earth now" theories and ideas as well. Also I can see no evidence of it, I lived where im at for 20+ years and the seasons and climate is the same, its just as warm when it should be, and as cold when it should be. You know scientists also said smoking tobacco in any form is harmless to the body and that the world was flat. They also said it is impossible for heavier than air flight, but the Wright brothers and the jumbo jets in the skies today when many people proved otherwise.
Well I think we should save the earth, since like karlo said it is the only home we have at the moment, but that we should definitely not just stick to the present methods being employed to help. Living on other planets would be *sweeeeet*
All true, however, death already accounts to the proof of global warming, either by pollution or global warming(stroke in other words) also science can change, but even if we have said many things that now are not true, that dosn't mean that once in a while, we are right, to me global warming really is real, and if we don't do anything, we would have to look for a new home...
actually there are even scientists who disagree with that. They say that all information about temperature came from area's where the population density has been increasing, and that "Global warming" is in fact just cities being warmer then nature.
I Chose To End It My pick is we should do nothing about it and ignore the scientist's warnings thus, letting earth to perish. To put it in a crude way we humans are quite different from animals. Instead of adapting to the harsh environments we instead chose to change the environment to suit our needs and wants. Just look at how many concrete jungles there are. In order to maintain our way of life we need energy, and humans have jumped at every oppurtunity to make sure that energy in the form of fossil fuel is readily available. It is because of our selfish endeavours that we have failed to realize that our actions of wanting to live an easy life, filled with technological advancements, pose a serious threat to our very planet. I have also come to a conclusion that the reason for our high dependency on fossil fuel is due to man's laziness to diversify and unwillingness to change to a greener source of energy like wind energy. In time to come humanity will pay it's price and the changes seen throughout the world is just the beginning of the horror that is yet to come. Trust me what we have done to our planet can never be undone. As for me I'm pretty much happy that I still get to play on my computer and sleep in an air-conditioned room. I'd rather keep this lifestyle than revert back to our cave man era.
Well I'm for the whole f--- it all wipe out the human race, but not in the boring, sit-back-and-let-the-bad-emissions-and-wavering-resources-slowly-burn-us-out method. Go balls out and have a nuclear holocaust if you're going to decide to destroy the world--otherwise, if you're intent on sticking around for your lifetime, don't leave the next folks the repercussions of our generation. So I voted green (how trendy).
As the late George Carlin said, the idea that we should need to 'save the Earth' smecks of arrogance and pretense The Earth ain't going no where. It didn't have fauna and flora to begin with and it sure doesn't need it now, and it's not going to care if the collective of life suddenly extinguishes. We need to save our asses, not the Earth's.
Let it go down. Survival of the Fittest baby. It just simply couldn't handle our power and flow And in the words of the great Philosopher-Orator Steven Colbert, "Those who are currently winning when the world ends are declared the all-around winners of the game." GO USA!
I hope that we should save the Earth. Note hear people that he specified nothing as to what the danger was but to whither you want to die or not (death of Earth means death of all thing living upon it.....and you do). I have no bias opinion on global warming and I am gonna let the scientists who took years of collage and got their asses in a ton of debt to say stuff like this.
