Does anyone else feel that Youtube has gone downhill since they got bought by google? They've been adding adds to videos, though removable, still add an annoyance issue. Also, I've had about half a dozen subsriptions get suspended in the past few months. One subsription lost over 2 years worth of work because he used images from Sonic X. He was doing a fan-made Sonic series and got up to video 78, when TMS steped in and had his videos removed, he attepmted to start again, again TMS came in and had him suspended. He tried a third time, not using SonicX pics, but ran into issues with WMG(seem to be muting/removing many videos recently due to music used). Now he's starting work on a 4th series on a new account, not using SonicX clips or music, talk about dedication. Another got suspended because of a rant he did against a christian evangelical camp (basically brainwashing kids) over a year ago. I know youtube is having issues with copyright, but is it even possible to make a video without breaking some type of copyright? Use a song from a band, copyright. Use images from movies or TV shows, copyright. Show footage of videogames(walkthroughs/lets plays), copyright. Thoughts? EDIT: I know some things follow under Fair Use, but that doesn't stop some people from having issues with youtube

Yeah. There were a lot of great videos in youtube that isn't available anymore. And the muting thing on videos due to something about copyrights.
The copyright claims since then have really pissed me off. "We're sorry, this video is no longer available, due to a copyright claim by __" *yells*
I dont watch a hole lot off youtube.. only if someone is like "ROFLCOPTER LOOK AT THIS" or if i need to find a song quick or video game preview.
Yeah it has annoyed me lately. What really pisses me off is that movies and sons used to say that you can use a song, or a video clip for personal use if you don't try to profit off of them, and now suddenly you can have an account banned because one of your home videos has a WMG song on the radio in the background. I understand people don't want you stealing their stuff, but what they are doing now is excessive. The ads also bug me. With google's ad network, Youtube should have LESS need of ads than before it was bought, but what is worse, is that the variety of ads has diminushed. I Just finished watching The Slayers on youtube, and between every other video was a powerade ad. Just powerade ads, nothing else, and what's worse, they were all the same ad.
It was late 07, early 08 I think, but the heavy duty ad spamming and draconian moderation just started this year.
kinda hard to watch vids when the person's account gets suspended, or the vids audio gets perma muted by WMG.
They were bought by Google? I didn't even know that, and I didn't even notice a difference. But I do see sometimes many videos taken down due to tiny little copyright issues, which in my opinion, is stupid.
There is one problem I have with SonicX and TMS copyright problems. People have the entire series of SonicX loaded on youtube, many have used image clips for AMVs, and there are those who use images for video fan fics. TMS is only attacking those who have been making fan fics, yet doesn't cause issues for AMV makers or those who have the actual series loaded on youtube. I don't understand why TMS has issues with those using images to make thier versions of the Sonic universe, some making thier own story from scratch, others continuing where the SonicX series left off.
OMG. Youtube says with roughly 90% of the vids that they arent available in my country what do we live in, the stone age?
