So I've been noticing that each race seems to have some units to scale and use the new "cliffs" and such in the maps. Terran have Vikings and Reapers - Protoss have Colossus and Stalkers. Do the Zerg have their own equivelant?

I don't think Nydus worms is what the original poster is looking for, they are far less accessible. Plus the units mentioned in the original post can just jump cliffs at will. A nydus worm certainly doesn't give a Hyrdralisk the same mobility as a Reaper.

I think the best thing Zerg has for mobility would be Mutalisks. They are the fastest air unit that can attack both air and ground units without morphing or using energy. But other than that maybe Speedlings, at least in the early game?

This is more what I was looking for. It did answer my question, as far as jumping cliffs and stuff the Zerg just aren't as good. It seems like this would make Zergs a bit more vulnerable in all out combat outside of their own creep (Where they atleast get the speed bonus)

i feel that zerg are the most mobile

speedlings, mutas. super fast speed in creep etc.
Dont worry about cliff movers when they are so mobile.

    The answer is "no". ;)

Nor did Zerg ever get a replacement unit for the Lurker, which was removed.

I'm hoping that that is because they are going to add something cool in the next expansions...oh god please add something because zerg feels so weak currently.

That would be awesome. But I'd find it even better and more fitting if they you move beyond buildings while burrowed.

I don't think I really would find that ability believable. I'd rather just have the lurker back, without the siege upgrade.

Pray for a lurker-type unit in the expansion. And hope there's only one expansion and not a million like WoW.

Anyways, with good creep highways and speed upgrades - Zerg is pretty mobile in general.

The zerg didn't get the lurker, but blizz stated they felt the baneling and the roach took the role. Roaches could move while burrowed, and banelings dealt splash. They had lurker at T3, but with detectors so prevalent in the mid to late stages of a game, the lurker couldn't really be T3,either. As a result, it was scrapped.

As for zerg, they don't have a cliff walker, but as was mentioned, they are generally the most mobile and flexible army. I don't think they need a big hulking slow walker like colossus, or any more flexibility like that found in the terran reaper. Good question though. Good discussion.

Also, zerg may feel weak, but maybe you are playing zerg as one of the races, not as zerg. quick, swift, flexible. Zerglings make for map contorl and great recon...you know what, I'm going to make a post on zerg and how I thnk they need to be played. I hope it will help, as I see a LOT of"zerg is boring" or "zerg is too weak" posted quite frequently. I'll write something up about it today...

Keep in mind with EACH of the next two expansins, just as in BW, blizz has stated they plan to add units to the game.....(lurker in "heart of the swarm "release?)
    =)
