Hello all, I'm just learning the game, and I am going to give Zerg a shot for multiplayer. While I am still figuring things out a bit, can someone link me to some good threads/articles/videos that specifically discuss (1) the art of multitasking with Zerg, or (2) Zerg rushes? Thanks!
Hello, Learn some strategies first, and then your multitasking will compliment it. In my honest opinion, I don't think learning a rush strategy is the way to get your skills where you want them to be the fastest. You may learn how to be aggressive to get you through the earlier parts of the ladder (take bronze and silver for example), but it's going to make you plateau and you're going to have to reinvent yourself to advance after better players understand defense leaving you trying to break old habits. In other words, I'd work on perfecting what works throughout your climb through the ladder and mid to end game sooner than working on first stage aggressions that do not show continuation into mid and end. On second thought, it may not kill you to learn some early aggression. It's good to learn in case you come across certain circumstances like getting walled in with a bunker rush or cannon wall or want to go for all ins. One base Muta can be handy on Lost Temple. But overall, you're more often going to want to concentrate on early expanding as a zerg and knowing how to play a game from start to finish. I guess I'll plant the seed for some of the early game stuff you asked for. Look this stuff up to help yourself to an early aggressive game: Baneling Bust Roach Rush 6 pool zergling rush 10 pool zergling rush Roach Bane Bust Bane Speedling One Base Muta Those give you some ideas on rush builds and are good tools to have, but . Eventually concentrate more on stuff like 15 gas 14 pool or 14 pool 15 hatch or 15 hatch 14 pool etc (There's lots of opening builds to play with).... Those don't tell specifically what to build but layout a structure to build your econ and units from. Best of luck. I love Zerg!
