What is there to know, that isn't clearly already
That voice in the back of my head tells me to just avoid these sorta of topics, but I'll just poke in to say one bit and be on my way hopefully.

To this day, I've never understood why people continue to leech onto these broad(broken) labels namely big ones like Republicans, Democrats, socialist, conservatives, ect.

They are so general that they can never categorize a group's image or actions. If anything, they serve as a way to mock a side because of the touchy subjects they may stand opposed too or with.

Personally, I've never liked the purpose of such general groups to be so well known and treated as the only means to move forward with. Sure politics will always be a mess and complicated...yet the approach it currently takes is far from a step in the right direction towards civil means of a healthy government.

It get's more complicated and in-depth of why it is the way it is, but my end all point is no one should call them selves or call another(person or group) by any of those general terms because they will never categorize a groups political view point(s), and the odds it perfectly fits a person are minuscule at best. [exceptions always apply, such as the people whom would classify them selves as the party leaders clearly would have to support their own platforms, but I'm just getting more annoyed talking about politics cause it's just not one of my strong points]

I would feel ashamed to live in a prominent democratic nation, I like the idea of this nation being founded as a republic, at least that is what the founders of it intended, or so they said. A republic seeks fairness for all of its citizens, while a democracy can vote you out of your priviledges. When it really comes down to it, America's system is neither a republic or a democracy, just an oligarchy. But hey, it is not too bad over in good ole US of A, at least you don't have soldiers gunning innocent people down... yet lol

I didn't read everything because this topoic greatly interests me, it's late, and I'd like to respond now.

    I am a 23 y/o Republician.

I fully support gay rights.... as I would with any other people not infringing on my own rights.

    I am progun.

    I am pro choice,

    I am anti-religion.

    I am pro human compassion.

I am down on big spending unless it creates jobs such as the Hoover dam. I believe state's rights must be upheld. I believe in low taxes and less government programs/offices. I don't like a big Federal governement. That's basic GoP ****. The current Republican leaders don't follow any of that and just try to hold their base. Same thing with Democrats. Politicians in this country do little for it and all for themselves. Same reason why I don't like Obama, Palin (she's also a half wit), or McCain.

I'm Libertarian really if you boil everything down and function in a non-2party system... which we sadly don't...
I even think Ron Paul very well may be another ahole politician looking for fame and power. God knows, you must already be wealthy to be in office.

America is not a democracy. I don't see people casting white or black stones about health care. They vote for some jerk who will decide for them. Indirect Democracy FTL.
