I do not believe there is a such thing as a big foot. However I am still opened to at least the possibility of its existence, should sufficient evidence arise.

Science currently knows of well over a millions species on our planet, and it is arguable that we have explored just about all of it, however there have been reports of various large and rare species escaping direct human observation for centuries (the modern Coelacanth is an example). Usually the more intelligent animals can evade us the best, with some bigfoot theories proposing that these creatures may construct temporary shelters out of leafs and wood it is reasonable to think that they can easily learn to avoid contact with us, such creatures would be nigh impossible to track, especially with so many people doubting their existence. So even if someone saw one, they may simple explain it away as a bear on its hind legs, or something.

Again, I'm open to at least the possibly that they might exist, though currently there is not enough evidence to prove this.

It seems we will possibly have some evidence out soon though.

One of the analysed dna samples came from a human, one from an opossum and the third one doesn't show anything.
If we combine these three things we maybe get a bigfoot ... or whatever.

It's probably a human body in an ape suit.... some mafia guy probably found a pretty good way to cover up the evidence. :D

They people who made that film back in the 70's never said it was a hoax. One of them died the other guy was on the History channel not long ago saying the film is real and his buddy endured constant harassment for shooting the film. Not saying that makes the film real, but it is not an admitted hoax.

They actually digital enhanced the reel frame by frame and can see moving facial features. They couldn't find any zippers or seams.

Why not big foot? There's lots of things we haven't seen, things thought to be of legend. Like the giant squid.
No hard evidence now. Maybe in the future. I leave the door open on this one.

See, I saw that on the news that day and even I thought it looked fake. First of all, how would two people carry it into a tiny cooler.

This is why no one believes in Bigfoot or ghosts and other things. It's always being faked by some jerk who thinks it's FUNNY TO DECEIVE PEOPLE AND TO GAIN A BIT OF F**KING ATTENTION FOR ONE FREAKING WEEK UNTIL IT'S PROVEN FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I was just mad. What I mean is, people like these guys are making people less and less believe in Bigfoot because most are just faked!

Well that's certainly a different attitude... Not to mention that it's fairly contradictory. It's hard to even know where to begin explaining how it is just 'cause it's so blatant.

    K. So you're basically saying you're mad at all the hoaxes because they're making less people believe that Bigfoot exists? Well just to get a clear perspective on things and so as to not confuse us, let's use the Loch Ness Monster as an example. As everyone knows, it was a hoax, but despite that people still swarm there year after year, some hoping to be the ones who spot it, still believing it's real. It's the same with Bigfoot. It was originally a hoax, yet people still believe it's real. You're now attacking these hoaxes for making more people think it's a hoax. That's exactly like saying you wish that the Loch Ness Monster wasn't faked because then more people would believe it's real. The problem being that both the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot gained popularity as a hoax, so if people didn't make these hoaxes, it wouldn't make them any more believable, because both their phenomenons wouldn't exist in the first place.

Am I the only one who's seeing this?

We have caught Bigfoot on film and it has proven to be not a fake. Now everyone is faking Bigfoot just to gain a little bit of attention and a lot of hate from people who do believe in bigfoot. Loch Ness monster, it was seen first as a hoax, therefore it is a hoax. Bigfoot was not seen first as a hoax and therefore is real.

So the nature of an object depends on what's first seen as, not as what it really is? You're basically saying that since thunder was first seen as punishment from angry gods that thunder actually is punishment from angry gods.

Where on Earth did you get that the first recording of Bigfoot was proven not to be a fake? Apart from being fairly certain that it was, are you sure you don't just mean it was inconclusive? Just because something hasn't been proven to be fake, it doesn't mean it's real.

I don't see why there can't be a big foot.
New species are discovered all the time (mostly bugs and fish but sometimes something bigger)

If it were labeled "possible new species" and not looked at as a paranormal thing it migt get a more positive reception. The haoxes also make it a boy who cried wolf kinda thing too.

Even if there is nothing to show that it can't be real, there's no reason to suggest that it is. It gained popularity as a hoax, just like the Loch Ness Monster, was then revealed to be a hoax, just like the Loch Ness Monster, so thinking there might be a Bigfoot is like thinking there might be a Loch Ness Monster. Or, to put it another way, it's like Santa. Kids grow up believing he's real, and they're then told it's just a kid's story. Does anyone then say 'I don't see why there can't be a Santa'?

Obviously the situation's a bit different, but I'm just trying to get that point across.
