it means someone is speaking sarcrasticly ex. I loooovvvvvveeeeee speaking facetiously.

 

if it'll get me points. It's essentially the adverb of being frivolous, or joking / playful. Understand?

 

I think hadean has a better definition but either way it ultimatly means being sarcastic

thats fine i got a friend that loves bigger words and that is one of hie more common words either way i just wanted credit for finding it hadean can have the other half of the minerals if his definition is correct.

BTW sarcastic is a synonym for one of the definitions of facetious. (i just looked it up on dictionary.com)

 

all right i guess you may be right but that doesent mean much only if it shows on the main page is it a true synonym it have like 50 different ones if you go to thesaurus

if you look mickey mouse is also a synonym.

Jesus tweak, just take it as it is man. And the dictionary is completely fucking based off of using synonyms to give a definition. But if you need a better def, then like is aid before. Being facetious is another means to say joke or not serious, facetiously can be used to explain that you werent serious about something, you were joking.

So you could say "Wow, you actually fought a dinosaur?" "I was being facetious you idiot." or "How come you said Starcraft two was gonna suck nuts?" "I was speaking facetiously."

guys i really dont care i just love puzzles and im thankful there is something like this thread on these forums and here is a riddle that from a somewhat common book so please sont go looking it up (i know i cant stop you but it does make it more interesting)

I believe it is from LOTR but the answer is time

Edit: It definitely is from LOTR. I think the fellowship or the hobbit, im leaning towards the hobbit.
