    Oh I forgot my explanations.. here I go.

    Cold as death because the fish in the water has cold blood and is indeed very cold.
    Ever breathing because he breaths with this very water.
    Never thirsty, ever drinking because he breaths by "drinking" the water and well he's doesn't need to drink so he's never thirsty.
    Covered in mail: the scales on the fish.

    .... I don't get it, it has to be a night watchman..... his shift begins at night. He's the defender of the walls. He wakens people when there's an attack, etc....

    He doesn't take a wife because he may die. It sounds like he's a watchman in a very dangerous place.. perhaps guarding against magic?

    Is this some fantasy book thing??? Like... some secret society of night watchmen?

    Riddles are never the answer they seem to be... Otherwise they wouldn't be riddle.. I would expect everyone to know that so it can't be a watchmen.

    Night gathers, and now my watch begins.
    It shall not end until my death.
    I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children.
    I shall wear no crowns and win no glory.
    I shall live and die at my post.
    I am the sword in the darkness.
    I am the watcher on the walls.
    I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men.
    What am I?

    The Moon?

    I know it doesnt make alot of sense but it fits the first 5 lines and if you stretch it you could make it fit the last 4.

    @hillza-

    Envelope. Starts with the letter e, ends with the letter e, and generally only contains one 'letter'.

    @joneagle-
    Dude, chill. "A league of really special guys" is VERY different from "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen."
    Proper names make a huge difference, even if it seems like it wouldn't.

    EDIT: New Riddle:

    Who would Woody Allen have to marry in order to get a name phonetically equivalent to a cartoon character?

    Example: If Tim Jones married Vanessa Buck, then divorced her and married Sally Too, his full name would be Tim Buck Too (Timbuktu.)

    Bizarro while i see youe point i think hillz is being a little nit picky about the answer unless the NIght's Watch refers to some specific organization (which there could be tons of answers that qualify then) how much a difference between NIght's Watch and night watchmen is there really?

    @hillz while joneagle didnt get the exact answer it seems like his answer is so close that he should atleast be given some if not full credit for the answer. (the only real difference i see is interpretation) also the minerals arnt really that important its the challenge of the riddle. Also hillz didnt sc2forums give you the minerals your using for these riddles anyway? (if not i might understand a bit harsher interpretation but still....)

    i ran out of riddle funds anyways, even if i was going to give it to him, which i'm not.

    you really have to know it, it's like saying 'a guy in a cape' when the answer is 'batman'
