im working on ur monkey question but i need to know if ever time someone dies if another coconut goes missing or if its only missing that one the monkey has through the whole riddle

what was the answer to the hair riddle?

 

hair riddle:

no one has exactly 483,207 hairs and they all have different amount of hair..

that means if they are exactly 483 207 residents, the one with the most hair has 483 206 and the one with the least has zero.. which gives a total of 483 207 residents with a range of 0 to 483 206 hair.

the answer can't be over 483 207 residents because then, including the person with zero hair, you'll need someone to have as many hair has the amount of residents of funky town.

here's an example if we suppose no one has 9 hair..

we couldn't assume that there's (let's say) 10 residents.. because here's a list of every residents possible (listed by how many hair they have)

0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,  ( = 9 residents) we can't add another resident because one of them would have as many hair as the number of residents in funky town.

you need the person with zero hair to make this possible.

hillzagold: I'm pretty sure you are right.. because what you had to find is a number that can be divided by 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2.. then reduce that number by 1 so everytime they try to divide the number of coconuts, they would have needed one more.

OK, I think I finally figured out ur killer monkey one. The answer is 2519 ;D not counting the monkey's coconut. I hope im right that took me a long time to get.

Actually Hadean's second quote comes from the Movie Gladiator and it is Maximus (Russel Crowe) who tells that to Emperor Commodus as he is asked his name. It is after he has led the Gladiators in the battle and that they were supposed to have lost. Can't remember the exact name. Will that do?
