Brainteaser/Puzzle Corner (Part 5)

No, it doesn't use any special base.

 

Two riddles from JBL for 100 minerals and a power up each.

1- In which case, beside leetspeak does A = 4?

2- Which number(s) between 0 and 10 are palindromes, and when/why are they palindromes?

Good luck, these aren't "googleable" since I made them by myself.

 

since you made it up, it's gonna be pretty difficult because we don't know what you have in mind.

but here are some "correct" answers

1) in the equation A+1=5
2) all single digits from 0-9 are numeric palindromes, the roman numeral 1(I) 2(II) 3(III) 5(V) and 10(X) are also palindromes.

 

Hmm yeah I should add some specification.. because giving an equation like that one isn't what I'm looking for..

However for the palindrome one.. I was excluding the fact that a single number or letter alone is always a palindrome.. so I should have used a different range.. however the roman numbers are a very good possibilitity and it's pretty close to what I had in mind when I made it..

I'll give u 100 minerals and a power up but I'm open to more answers for this one..

to those who wants to answer again:

don't tell me they are palindromes because they are single digits.. that's not that I want..

1+1=2
2+2=4
3+3=6
4+4=8
5+5=10+01=11
6+6=12+21=33
7+7=14+41=55
8+8=16+61=77
9+9=18+81=99
10+01=11

all of them. 196 is the only non anyways

WOW now I realise that my questions are really too vague..

forget the one about the letters.. I'll never get the answer that i'm looking for..

about the palindrome.. there's no mathematical operations involved.. only use the numbers.. nothing else.

 

The numbers that are palindrome are
in binary

0 = 0
1 = 1
3 = 11
5 = 101
7 = 111
9 = 1001

these are palindromes

2 = 10
4 = 100
6 = 110
8 = 100
10 = 1010

none of these are palindromes
