Cannibalism

freedom23, if you seriously believed that I would walk right over to you and kick you in the family jewels 1039847039 times. Even one billion or so people weighs 100,000,000,000,000 times less than the earth, and there would be no effect at all. You might as well say someone could be knocked over by a thousand feathers hitting you.

 

Yes, kuvasz, where there's no hygine it tends to happen. And human flesh is no more unclean or danerous than other animal meat, i know that. So if you want to go eat humans, be my guest. I mean, as freedom said (i doubt the fetus thing is true, but it coudl be, i don't claim to know) things like that could happen. i personally cringed when i read that. but that's just an example of morales and ethics and what we deem okay. We see animals kill each other for real via the discovery channel, why not people kill each other for real? When you think about it, it's what you're raised with. Not necessarily the fact it's bad for you, just that it's frowned upon by soceity.

 

I hear human tastes like pork.

What if the person being served wanted to be eaten?

What if they were raised in a farm where they were fed a good diet, given lots of exercise, fattened up... aaand butchered for fine dining?

 

Hey if the person wants me to eat them, who am i to argue? XD

 

@ Wick742 - it was clearly pointed out at National geographic or Discovery if i recall, but of course that will never happen as billions of people will not be able to synchronize their timing with the jump.. even with tv due to broadcast lapses

 

The only reason cannibalism is thought of to be a bad thing is, as several people have already mentioned, because of the values imparted to us as we grew up. There is nothing inherently different between eating human flesh and eating beef. No more so then the difference between beef and chicken at least. It is the fact that cannibalism is discouraged by nearly all of the civilized world that makes it appear to be some overlaying moral issue. When in fact it is simply a result of our upbringing. A very similar, but less wide spread aversion to eating certain foods, can be found in practicing Jews, and their belief in not eating pork, among other foods. Nothing stops them from eating pork besides the customs they learned as they grew up, just as nothing stops us from eating humans besides what we all learned from our culture. In short there is no real reason not to eat humans, assuming that no laws are broken in doing so. That being said I wouldn't eat another human unless it was a life or death situation.

But then again, I haven't had a meal in 3k years, when I was turned into a vampire. A solid meal that is.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If you want to eat someone, who am I to say you can't? Except for the obvious fact that I won't let you eat someone I care about.

You can't eat me however, it wouldn't be canniblism, seeing as I am not human, but still

I wouldn't eat another human under any circumstances what so ever. It sickens me to think, that people still do this.
