Higgs, it's all things serious. Elaborative suggestions hardly qualify as criteria. Your own jealousy that others have a licence, a car or a general interest in cars is no reason to Space Junk a thread. If you want to keep trying message me so as to not keep ruining the thread. Fenix, you've obviously learnt, right? I'm just annoyed 'cause I'm in the opposite position where I can but don't. Going to need a car soon, and my Honda obsession hardly makes for getting a cheap car. Parents sold the Honda I learnt in, 1989 Honda Civic, for five hundred bucks before we got the Crolla. Still kicking myself for not trying to buy it myself...
Yeah, I went through Driver's Education, got a permit....Wasn't worth the cost of petrol when my student fees at Uni get me a transit pass for my whole state. My buddy drives a Honda, nice cars. Don't care much for them myself, but I can certainly see the appeal. The appeal being bookoo mileage and almost no upkeep.
Yeah, makes sense I guess. Even after I got my licence I still caught the bus to school most days. Free pass, not that I paid for petrol anyway, about the same time, albeit obviously not as enjoyable, and didn't have to worry about parking. Was only a one hour parking limit around the school so had to move it each period, or risk getting caught. Most people risked it, and got away with it the vast majority of the time, but I always felt I had to. You're forgetting the style of Hondas too, haha. They've definitely got the compulsories with the mileage and hardiness. Honda pulls way ahead of the others like that, like Toyota, with style though. In my opinion, of course.
1. yes 2. no 3. anything that isn't a van or truck I really don't know anything about vehicles, so as long as it has 4 wheels, decent gas mileage, and in good condition, it would work for me.
1. Yes 2. No they cost too much to maintain and lose value quickly =/. 3. Not a bike....and since they aren't a car, i guess anything which isn't too tacky.
Have driven over 1,000,000 kilometers, far most of those kilometers inside Mercedes-benz E class serie...... And you ?
I can see humour's never lost on you, Soge. But jeez, that's basically four hundred kilometres a day. Where abouts are you from?
1. No I don't but will get learners this summer 2. No, but also will this summer. 3. Mitsubishi Lancer
Would make sense, but I assume he wouldn't own that Mercedes, then. Not to mention it's the oddest taxi I'd've seen, not that that's a challenge. Most taxis here are Ford Falcons or Holden Commodores. @ Loverboy. You're getting your own car for your L's? Assuming the rules there are the same as they are here, don't you think that's a little excessive seeing as you still require a fully licenced driver to be physically seated next to you?
Yes, I'm a taxi driver. I do 300 km per day in an average calculation. But some days I do over 600 km when I take more important persons. The company I am working for has a lot of relationships and enjoys of a very good reputation. That's why some companies trust it to take their boss anywhere. I haven't personaly done anything for the reputation, but I do have some privilege from the director (even if I made some accidents the last months). I am lucky. Most of my colleagues don't pass the average of 200 km per day. I don't own those Mercedes. Those E class are very effective and comfortable. If someone wants to own a car and to keep it for years, just choose the E class (full equiped is better). http://samirsouleyman.skyrock.com/
You know Soge, I've been thinking that you've mistranslated.... Are you not a taxi driver, but a chauffeur?
If smoeone wants a car to keep for years, they should go for a Toyota. They're fuel efficient and durable, and to my knowledge don't really have any cost associated with image or style. Honda, I'd say, would be in the same boat but generally more expensive simply because they've got the sportier style, but Mercedes are pretty much luxury cars. They might last, but, in my mind, you'd be paying for a lot more than just quality or longevity.
I agree with Itza! My dad has an '88 Toyota Pickup on 42s and it still runs like a champion! Just remember to maintain your vehicles!
I am a taxi chaffeur indeed. "Un chauffeur de taxi" in French. http://samirsouleyman.skyrock.com/photo.html?id_article=1623912210&rev=0
No I don't, a lot of kids around here get there own car for there learners. I might not get it this summer, but if not, I definitely will next summer. And if I did get it I wouldn't drive it all the time because of I would have to have a fully licensed driver with me. I just wanna get buying my car out of the way. Getting insurance is the hard part because my mom won't put me on her's and I don't think my dad will either. So I might have to get my own, I hope I don't.
I have a 9 years drive license. Can I teach you to drive ? I have never made accidents, except when I drove the taxis. You know, driving your car or someone else's car is different ... LOL
