    1. I lol'd. Not really. Biologically, physically, aside from their eye colouration, they are the same. But their culture, and beliefs, and notions of right and wrong are just so far opposite of each other, that I wouldn't consider them the same race.
    2. That was when they were still purple. They were then exiled from the Night Elf homelands, and the use of magic was forbidden by any of their race. Later on, they started turning into the elves they are today, light skinned, fair-haired, with very different body structures. And, they didn't fall back onto the magics they had used beforehand. They became followers of the Light, as is evident in the Warcraft RTS games.

    TL;DR, completely different culture and belief system. Started using Holy magic after the war, the new "Blood Elves" are using fel magic.

    IMO they should just be eradicated before they do any more harm to the world. Horde doesn't need them, they act like they're above the horde, they consort freely with demons and their fel magics.. Kill them before they kill us. Only 90% of the High Elves made it out of Quel'thalas alive, wouldn't take much effort if everyone got together and had themselves A GOOD 'OL FASHION WHOOPIN', HO DOWN, LYNCHIN' AN' A FAG DRAG, YEEEHAW. Bring the Elves of old back... I miss my Alleria.. =,(
