    To RationalThought: In early game you are probably right. But past the first few rushes every game has and once you start to get a good economy with a few minerals in reserve, 150 of them is nothing to spend. So I think anything past very early mid game (tier 1.5 I would think) 150 minerals becomes not that much. It's only really a lot in early tier 1.

    And really the only thing that early that can kill a queen is a marine rush. So if you protect yourself from that you should be past the initial rushes and you'll have the economy to afford 150 minerals. And if you don't then it's a simple case of "practice makes perfect" till you do have the 150 at that stage of the game.

    Anyways, since there's no quote, it means the post above mine. I was talking to the8thark. He said he thought that cracking the beta was immoral and, therefore, would not do it. Then, he goes and comments on balance as if he's tried it out himself.

    What is there to know, that isn't clearly already
    @Thark:

    Again, you've probably been going by streams or replays, but I've played the game. I'm no pro, but I've had some fairly intense matches, currently in the silver division so I can't vouch for gold/plat - but silver has alot of talented players, least most the ones I've played.

    Why I state that is I don't lose my queen often, but it can happen, so the risk is there all the same. To back track abit, you feel it's unbalanced in part due to the Queen in time being able to use all their abilities...yet you forget this wont happen till mid-late game...and might I remind you alot changes in the game for all races in that course of time.

    If you think there is something unbalanced, state it, I'll correct you the best I can, aside of certain unit combos the game is rather balanced from what I've played.

    Though I forget the thread I'm posting in...it should be more about HOW the game works rather then arguing game balance ordeals. (Less you could argue they are one in the same) So if you for-example think one race has an advantage in minerals gathering, I'd reply with:

    Protoss: They can shoot out probes faster then SCVs and drones independently due to their Chrono Boost - that's *if it's being used on the nexus at the time they are making units out of the Nexus.

    Terran: They can upgrade their CC to make Mules, which for a short time gather Resources much faster, the catch is they disappear after awhile.

    Zerg: They can mass out Drones faster then SCV's and Probs yet at the cost of those Larva sharing the same spawn as your troops. Much like Protoss needs troops fast at times or an upgrading right away...they would use Chrono boost that way. Same for Terran need to scan their enemy's location/units - or maybe they are in a tight spot where they need troops out Asap so they can opt to upgrade their depot for that extra set of units to be made.

    It all comes down to each Race has the means to up resources at the cost of improving unit outputs and so forth.

    @DeckardLee

    Sorry, I didn't read into it like you did, but now I see your point, and would agree to it - making comments of balance is different when you watch rather then play. So that's why I originally was asking you, because I figured you may have miss-read that I wasn't actually in the beta, yet commenting as if I were.

    I agree balancing issues shouldn't really be discussed here. So bad of me. But the mechanics of all 3 as you just stated are ok by me. Each one is suffiently different and useful. Just the numbers need a little tweak. But again another good post. Really I think that is a nice description of the 3 mechanics. And all SC2 newbies should read it to understand how the 3 races abilities work.

    First off... Lol at this not being closed yet. xD Second off... I both admit and apologize for the assumptions and pirating blah blah blah whatever. -.- Don't actually care too much cus karma came and kicked me in the ***. Apparently, atleast for me, somehow the SC2 beta crack pretty much put me into windows mode on SCBW. =/ Game screen is stuck at 50%. Anyway.. Yeah, terran is a bit under powered I suppose, lil boring too. Terran is already in a rutt with biuld orders like in SCBW. =/ And as for energy costs, the zerg's queen ability to spawn larva should be upped in energy costs to 50 aswell as the tumor thing. The healing...well...don't think it gets used to frequently except for things such as Ultras or something. Seems like a waste of energy compared to the other abilities. I planned on re-writing the review and adding a lot more but I deleted everything SC2 related in order to try and fix SCBW but to no avail and I'm too lazy to do it all over again. -_-

    And just BTW, my comp is less than 2 years old. I don't lag in games at all, but for some reason SC2B ****s on my computer and makes it lag. Dunno why. May have just been the crack. =/

    What does the age of your computer have to do with anything? I could build a computer today that can't run Quake 3.

    Give us your specs and we can help see if it's the crack, the game, or something else that's lagging you. I tell you one thing though. I played the game with an Athlon 64 3000 and it ran better than you say and that's a budget 2004 computer.
