Well it would appear that Diablo 3 beta has begun. Sure, it’s friends and family at this point, but the launcher has already been leaked. We’re not going to link it for security reasons (and out of respect for Blizzard) as well as the fact that it appears you can’t do much anyway without an authorized Battle.net account. But this is a strong indicator that invitation beta will be starting imminently. Here’s a screenshot of the beta installer on my own PC, so you know it’s actually working. Oh man I hope I manage to get one sometime <3 either way, one step closer to diablo 3 being released! All this time waiting and I feel I can almost taste it, haha
True, but I meant a more in-depth review, focusing on particular features, nit-picking, all that stuff. Even if you differ in opinion from the reviewer, it does provide a wealth of information. And while we're on the subject of nitpicking: Wow, that interface looks like it came straight from WoW. Everything is in the same place and generally has the same colors, The only things that are really different are the mini-map being square, two glowing orbs, 7 action buttons instead of 12 and the experience bar being orange instead of red. Couldn't they at least have given the menu buttons different colours?
So I'm looking at the screenshots from the youtube vid and watching a stream from Higgs's thread...is it just me or is every new/low-level char practically naked, even when equipped? I can understand low-level gear not being all that special-looking, but come on - I'm looking at a level 8 monk and she's wearing a halterneck top, a loincloth, and some sandals.
Wait, people up to level 50 are half-naked in WoW? I don't recall black mageweave or ogre pants being that popular a choices.
