Fate of the Blizzcon Forum

Yeah, make it read only, and next year all this stuff will be still here and we can see how wrong/right/whatever happened in these forums.

 

So far, locking it has twice as many votes as the runner up.

 

I think we should leave it open, but if people keep digging up old threads then just lock the old ones.

But it should be postable and open

Since it is unlikely that a user would just get around to posting pictures or something like that, I say leave it but lock the entire section untill next Blizzcon. Also nobody is going to tell about something they found out about Starcraft II at Blizzcon that we haven't already heard by now.

 

block the creation of new topics .. after 3 weeks close topics or move them to a nother part of the forum

 

I voted for "locking" but later I changed my mind.
I dont understand the necesity of locking or deleting it. If you have a car that once was new and shiny but now its not really great u gonna lock it in the garage or trash it away? It can be still used. The same with blizzcon Better keep it open, theres no reason to lock it. If someone wants to talk about something releated to blizzcon, then they can do it in that forum. And if no one wants to talk about blizzcon... Well its the same as locking it, isnt it?

 

Think of it more of a car you'd use on special occasions, like that lovely Aston-Martin. You wouldn't keep it out, you wouldn't drive it all the time. You'd keep it in your garage out of sight, so as not to be stolen or trashed. That's what it's more like.

I know the voting isn't done yet, but Locking it is a clear leader.

 

read only is what i voted. let some guys that missed blizzcon catch up.

 

i dont like any of these options how about make it read only but put the section somewhere else instead of in the first area.

 

Well making it read only would come with significant cropping probably with info posts remaining here and general discussion well thats up to the mods but I will assume it will get moved to the lounge or deleted

Just place it under the general forum, not over it.

 

i say change it to the Events sub forum instead of blizzcon and compile all info from events and expos so people can catch up if they behind of see some new things. Blizzcon isnt the only convention there was regarding info on SC2, lets pile it all together and make it avialable to people to gather information is my vote.

 

Turning this into the events forum does sound good but no matter what alot of this stuff we don't need anymore so maybe we can make this a protected forum where only mods can make new threads like the news section is. Then we could just have a temporary event forum for each convention

hm. yeah, close it (read only) cut it down to a nice, readable format and move it somewhere, or put it as a sticky to some other, perhaps general sc2 discussion, forum.

 

It should be deleted or locked.

Just delete it until the next Blizzcon is announced. It should be a special thing, that only pops up every time Blizzcon is announced.

 

Delete the bitch. it's useless, Blizzcon is done and things from Blizzcon are being discussed elsewhere no need to make it read only or to splice it. Just delete it.
