    I think Americans pronounce things funny.

    We have WAY too many accents, and rural ones are nuts. My grandma prounounced, say, battery as bat-tree. There's a city about 40 mins north of me called Mantua. it's not pronouced Man-too-uh. It's Man-away. How does that even make sense. The residents of Hurricane make a distinction between Hurricane Katrina (her-ih-cane) and Hurricane, Utah (her-kin). We don't have mountains here, we have moun'ins.
