So conclusion, mass soldiers and a few phoenix.

4 gate beats early midgame zergs. And keep your opponent from expanding.

Not the new 4-gate it doesn't. It's pretty suicidal now.

Protoss is almost always stronger in direct combat, while Zerg should try to outmaneuver you. If he gets a lot of speedlings early on, you really can't just walk on the map, but he also put himself economically behind by doing that.

Whenever I face some kind of ling/baneling or ling/infestor play, I just pressure to about half the map, clear the watchtower, kill some creep tumors and pull back, so I wont lose any units, while working my way up to fast 2/2 upgrades and a 3rd base.

It's good idea to sneak a probe to build some proxy Pylons around the map, so you can warp in like 4 zealots and send them into his 3rd while you do your little pressure. His army will be out of position and if nothing you'll get to kill the queen and some drones.

Once you reach the critical mass of units, it becomes really easy to deal with speedlings with a good amount of sentries, like 7+, since you can basically ff nonstop, and force him to make more and more units, while you dont lose almost anything, especially if you have a archon/collosus/storm in the mix.

Basically what you want to do is keep your expensive units alive, while sacrificing only Zealots. Whenever you engage a zerg, dont fight to the end. Try to kill what you can with as little losses as you can and pull back a little bit to reinforce. Unless you feel confident just murdering his entire army of course.

Honestly, 4gate is really bad build against Zerg, at least in diamond where I play against it quite often. It's not that hard to scout that you're going to 4gate, and once Zerg knows it, he can easily hold off by just massing units instead of building drones.

I'd recommend you stick with 3g FE into some pressure and heavy upgrades.

Protoss is the BEST race for harras ever... Warp Prism + anything, DTs and air units are probably the best options you have...
