why settle for the minimum requirements? recommended or more is the thing you should go for.

im going to buy the best specs there is just for sc2. i dont want low quality for sc2.

Just bought a new computer in part for sc2. It's mostly because there are other games I want to play on a PC and my computer being 5 yrs old and cheap is just too slow and annoying for me. I'm confident with my new PC, when I get it running I will be anyway. 4GB RAM, 3.0GHzx2, 8600GT 512MBx2 SLI with 500GB HDD.

@ zeratul11 , good choice my man. All I've heard since my post is complaints that my reqs are too high.

Well... I did put a note in there that it was for serious SC2 gamers. You've summed up my point nicely.

I am confident with my current setup, I can run Company of Heros very well and Elder Scrolls Oblivion at high settings with good performance. My video card also supports up to pixel shader 3.0 I beleive.

Starcraft 2 isn't top high-end graphics by todays standards so I think I should be able to run it since I can run games that are much more demanding system wise.

It may look much less realistic than other games, but that doesn't mean its graphics aren't high-end. It probably will end up with a lot more polygons, lighting, etc., than many of the other games out there right now. But I guess it won't be all fancy like CoH or Oblivion.

well sc2 looks better than supreme commander, so if you can run supcom with maxed settings then youll probably be alright.

Most of the time, at least for me when I was playing Supreme Commander, I was zoomed out pretty far, so I wouldn't say it's a good comparison, at least for me. Zoomed out, it had less level of detail than Warcraft 1.
