Well... Technically if they had machine body parts... Would they still be homosapiens?

Well... He said 100% into an artificial body.... So I mean we aren't talking about a few pieces of machinery replacing human organs... Hes talking about being turned into something that is 100% machine. So technically I don't think that would be human. They wouldn't have a heart, lungs, livers, brains, or what have you. I mean they wouldn't even bleed in the sense that we know it... How could that be human I mean if something that physically different is human then.... Is a cow human?

Actually to clarify Jshep I was talking about two different things. One being if you had the chance to transfer completely to an artificial or mechanical body that is better than yours now would you do it? The second being how many cybernetic or mechanical implants is too much to where you don't consider them human anymore.

You have to understand the human body as it is now is essentially a very advanced and complex machine that is organic instead of artifical. The brain itself is a computer. We are already making amazing progress to this end of creating machines that actually perform better than our current human ones. It will still be into the far future but technogly is expanding an a alarming rate.

I'm just trying to encourage discussion and questions about this kind of topic.

Personally to me if someone converted entirely into an artificial body I would still consider them human based on their consciousness or "soul" if you will. They would still be the same entity just in a different body or vessel.
