the soldiers will use advanced spear weapons, cause of a kinetic-shield found on a crashed alien vessel(aliens are in the series)
almost all species are humanoid, but there shall be give an explanation in the show as well
the first great enemy shall be the elemental swarm, a swarm of strange energetic beings that came out of nowhere and started conquering the galaxy all of a sudden
due to another kind of gravity the planets are a lot bigger, about as big as our solar system(WOW, i know it sounds weird but it will be explained thorougly, even featuring a race that was nearly destroyed because of the other kind of gravity, and whose planet was oblitorated by this gravity)
almost all species will work with a clan-like system, without a central authority

Everything sounds good. Planets as big as solar systems sounds like fun, I guess you can explore each planet and it's cultures for a looot of episodes. Planets that big would apparently have a greater variation of climates too, right? One planet could basically be the setting for an entire season if you would choose.
