So, are we supposing you can still be killed, and just not die from old age?

Yeah, I personally would suppose that one still could be killed. It would be too much asked for such a power. But old age may be much easier to overcome in two or three centuries.

we wouldnt have to worry about such things for one reason if we were immortal we could still reproduce because if were all still on earth we are the most stupid smart people ever to exist if we couldnt die time would fly very quickly so technologies would appear to get us out of our solar system and we could litterally inhabit any planet we would like because we couldnt die everything would be ours and then greed will comeover us and it'll be like now on a much larger scale where every one is fighting for resourses.
    im just saying

What else is new? Anyway, sure we might gain immortality, but i think some people would go insane after living for so long.

Alright first off. Use punctuation man, it's not that hard. Seriously, learn to write. Your spelling is also horrible by the way.

Second. Immortal is not the same as invincible. If we went some place that was inhospitable to human life, then who ever was there would die. Someone who is immortal will just not age, or die of any natural causes. However they could still be killed, or even die if something goes horribly wrong with their body before medical attention could save them.

Thirdly. Only the rich would be able to get this immortal treatment anyway. They'll make it where you have to pay **** tons of money to get it. The common man won't be able to have it. Scientists would have it so they could continue their research instead of dying. So yea we would start making technological advancements really fast.

I'm not even going to fully get into this, because as you said greed will play a huge role in it. So long as we allow people to get rich, and allow other people to stay poor in the dirty streets with nothing. The immortal rich would just be worse.

Chemistry started because human beings wanted to find a way to stop themselves from dying naturally. Nobody wants to die. Permanent life extension is inevitable whether you like or not.

Alchemy started because human beings wanted to find a way towards immortality or fortune. Chemistry started when people actually gave a **** about how the world and chemicals within it work.

Alchemy, chemistry... what's the difference? The two are the same, alchemy is just the pretext to chemistry before we had all the technology, and understanding. You can say alchemy was our earlier attempts, and chemistry was born out of it to have a more clear understanding, but the application of it still holds.

Alchemy is to chemistry what astrology is to astronomy or what creationism is to evolution.

You are correct there, the point is that human beings have wanted eternal life for a very long time. Now a'days the fountain of youth has found its way into sciences like life extension, and transhumanism.
