I'm mediocre at every basic instrument I guess except drums.. I'm a bit better at them. Don't have any at home so I can't play *sob* (although I never really cared much... I would probably get tired of those just like every other thing),

Played in a band at school, it was great fun, we did some RHCP covers and a few own songs.
But then again we never took it seriously, we just liked jamming.

    Kinda yeah
It's not painted blue, but a blue varnish.

    And it's an 800USD bass.

    Go for a 5-string.
You would regret it if you became good at 4-string bass guitar.

Or he could keep up with what he's doing if he does it well enough and enjoys the experience based on his opinion and decisions.

Also, guitar concert for the Guitar 10 classes in about two weeks!

    Honestly, I hope you're joking.

The only people who play exclusively five-strings are pretentious metalhead assholes.

The fifth string is simply for people who aren't fast enough to play that extra octave.

Cause I'm sure Geddy Lee, Cliff Burton, Paul McCartney, Chris Wolstenholme, Nikki Sixx, John Paul Jones, etc regret playing a four string.

A Spanish 12 string guitar, commonly used in the Philippines.

It's really high pitched and is used in folk songs. It also has a traditional Chinese sound to it if you play the right notes.

Ohhhh. I've seen those before then. And the actual Chinese string instrument is a mandolin... right? Or am I messing myself up?

And today in Guitar our teacher is going to give us the chords for a bunch of Christmas carols.

Yes it's very similar to a mandolin which is used a lot in china. Even though there are about 12 strings on a Banduria and 4 on a mandolin, you hold 3 -2 strings which are all tuned to the same note. It basically creates an image of multiple guitars for one playing.

I played the Trombone for 7 years.

Only used the basic version, not the ones with the added keys to help with the higher notes or positions. I actually used my dad's trombone, so my instrument was the oldest in my highschool band, being over 20 years old and still playing in pitch, though the finish was worn away at some spots.

It was the nice dark gold color though instead of the light gold used today.
