Is Terran giving up on Air??

ffs, all you out there who keep banging on about "terran lack AA" go whine to someone else. EVERY RACE HAS ITS DOWNFALL i am a very very terran oriented person but im sure when the game is released they will either have one good AA or the other races will have thier downfalls...

 

Terran should and must be the most balnced race.With equally powerful ground and air prowess.

 

I cant judge before I knock, I will simply have to wait til the game comes out...

 

Can the Thor hit air? I thought i read somewhere that i can.

 

In the current build, it works like a Goliath with 300 hp and big GtA splash.
It's built from the Factory and I think the Armory enables its production.

 

Old thread is old, lol. IMO, from the looks of it, the Terran air is getting some MUCH needed air time. In BW, how often do you see more than a couple of Valks, or even more than a group of wraiths. Though the Goliath is a VERY important unit, I feel it's replacements are up to par.

 

you've got a pretty point there... but bw is past so maybe this time people will make use of vikings more since its really versatile, but of course, only situational maps are they ussually purchased so its likely that we will still get little to see them in pvp action

 

I like the changes they have made to the terran air so far. I have never cared for Wraiths to much. I would sometimes build an early wraith to harass overlords or dropships, but beyond that, I found their use very limited. They are a weaker air fighter than mutas or protoss air and all good players have detection to kill them. The only other time I used wraiths was against carriers (you better hope you kill all his observers when you scan) or battlecruisers.

I love the idea of the viking, the terran has to choose if they want anti air or anti ground. You have to work if you want the correct counter. I think this is much cooler than the goliath that whill fire at whichever you please. About your comment on needing the time to respond to transforming them to air mode, I think that just emphasies how important scouting will be so you know what form you need them in to attack.

I believe that between BCs, Marines, deploying Auto Turrets, and Vikings that terrans will have an exciting and strategic time defending against air.

 

AA power from terren eh?

i stand by what Zacron says its true and its logical
statisticly terran had the second best air force in bw and those turrets and golis and viks should take care of them for AA and then u have a better chance for a counter strike by air and land which is a much better strike then air or land alone.

 

and thats what have we seen so far right, i believe that most of the terran units as of now are almost balanced at this stage.. and BTW Terran are masters of the "terrain" especially when it comes to defense, so its quite obvious that terran will still be the more dominant anti-air race...

The thread should rather answer the question "how about air??"

 

so im guessing terrain are pretty much dark elves from warcraft. considering the fact that most of the units are aa (or can attack air units) and that they only have one major air unit, in this case the chimera (or battlecruiser), and lastly that both races ave the ability to move buildings. probably terran marines should attack air with missles rather than bullets iono

(5) No. There's lots of missiles right now for Terran. Bullets are fine.

 

He just spell Terrans wrongly Theres no such race call Terrains.the meaning of terrains is about the environment stuffs and crap.
