That wouldn't do it. There are hundreds of Nuclear Power Plants with much more nuclear products than a bombs, and even all those going off wouldn't kill everything.

Your idea would kill the environment as easily as it would kill us, which contradicts the whole reason for our extinction.

Nucleal warheads only have a very small amount of nuclear matter compaired to any nuclear powerplant waste storage. Nuclear waste storage areas have 50 times the amount held in a powerplant.

You would need something of that size to melt down to really be catastrophic.

 

Indeed. Destroying ALL life on Earth is practically impossible. Even if we had a nuclear meltdown of that size some forms of microorganisms will survive, in the deep sea vents or in deep caves, and it's evolution all over again. No one knows what it'll look like, but it sure won't look like what it is today.

and im not all that concern on how we will kill ourselfs, it will happen at one point in time or another, tho we are a race that is extremely adaptable, (mainly cuz of our mind and our tech.) we will die cuz we cant help but fight over the stupidest things sometimes.

my info about the 40 nukes thing was from a tv show called nova, it was a special episode on what has the most chance of killing humanity off the Earth, and they are pretty accurate with their infomation.

That's exactly what we're trying to fix here

 

It's not humans in general that cause the majority of the problems, its a few who think they rule over nature and think their actions don't have consequences or don't care what their actions do.

For example: nature in Africa would be much better if there were no poachers who think killing elephants and rhinos for ivory is ok.

 

The problem is that it's not few. That's by far an understatement. There are lots of people who harm nature such as poachers, people who run factories releasing crap into air and earth/water, people cutting through rainforests and much more

 

Look humans will never kill each other to extinction. As much as everyone worries about it and thinks a nuclear war will kill us all, humans are not that stupid. A nuclear war will never happen because we all know that it WILL result in the end of human kind so it will NEVER happen. And even a hundred regular sized nukes would not kill us all. Regular nukes are not that powerfull. I'm not saying there weak but there not super bombs that will destroy entire country's.
To sum it all up humans are smarter than that and nukes are just to keep our enemy's at bay and nothing more.

And i really need to emphisize Normal nukes because i dont want someone replying to this stating how 100 nukes would start another ice age and black out the sun and stuff because those are not normal nukes. Yes we have plenty of nukes that can do that but they are extremely powerfull ones.

 

Actually that can't be said cuz if one of these countries gets pissed, they would nuke somewhere. Then everyone gets paranoid, then somewhere else gets nuked, retaliations etc.

Like imagine if some eastern country nuked america. America would nuke them back right? then china could get pissed and threaten to take actions, so america then nukes china. Then one of their allies nukes america and so on.

 

An eastern country couldnt nuke america because we have technology that would prevent that.

 

Yes we have missile defense systems.

 

Yeah, so what about all asia and europe going togehter against USA?
First we send James Bond to take down the missile defense system, and then England bomb you with atomic bombs. And then all arabs suicide at you, and all Asia bomb you with crap.

 

What? Man you need to get off the action movies. And Europe is Americas allie. They aint going against us. The only country we should worry about is China.

 

And Russia and Iran...
