Life sucks...

Man people already give advices that i wanna say good thing a read it before writing something anyways i just wanna say is that it will get better in life and no matter how bad it is in high school you will feel better later on it takes time so cheer up and always hope for the best.

alright heres what im mad about

#1. im still waiting on my ride to work that makes me 1 hour late n counting
#2. my gaurenteed to work RAM showed up today and not only didnt work, broke my computer and took me 2 hours to fix and still doesent work right because....
#3. the BIOS on my computer is f*ucked up and wont open no mater what i do
#4. my boss is pissed at me because i gave a custumer a $0.85 refund
#5. my boss is even more pissed at me because i got blamed for some $hi+ i didnt do cause this co-worker hates me and he was there with my bosses boss to talk to me about it, but because my boss is in love with the girl who hates me i cant do a thing
#6. i have a research paper due tomarrow that my partner was spost to help me on but he never showed up, worth 20% semester grade and if i dont pass it i will fail the semester

 

Wow harsh man I can see why your upset now. I would really like to help you with this but one I don't ever have a partner for school work so I dont know what to do for that, two I'm not working right now and unfortantly I am not my brother (acctually thats probably a good thing) but he's the computer master in our family (you should see some of the stuff he can do with that thing and I'm good with computers but I mean really he can do anything with them) and I dont really know about your BIOS and as for the girl hates you love problem theres really no answer for that. So I'm sorry I can't help you tweak even though I really want to but I guess I'm no help at all I'm going to go cry now. :bigcry:

 

also about 5 mins ago my boss called me asking if i was gonna show up, i said yeah in 30 mins to a hour (taxi). but still he said "when u get in i want to talk to you" ..... Hmmmm wonder what that could be about ive already been late like 2 weeks ago and we have a strict policy.

Um yeah becuase I meant I would take it that you'd get fired. I'm just kidding teak but I'm sure you'll be fine you seem like a good guy so even if you do get fired I think you'll be able to find a new job pretty fast and plus by the sounds of it your boss is a bit%^ so it might be a good thing in the long run. You're in high school or middle school in the United States, your life cannot suck. Someone not going to college and instead working in retail or fast food would have a sucky life. Someone living in their parents house when they are 30 would have a sucky life. Someone having their entire family captured and forced to become a suicide bomber or have their entire family killed would have a sucky life. Someone being rounded up in a large group and executed because they are a policeman would have a sucky life. Someone coming home to find out that their children were killed because a mortar hit their classroom would have a sucky life. Someone who loses their job and their wife and son being killed in a car accident in the same month would have a sucky life. Someone who has no home anymore because some islamist fundamentalists thought it'd be a great idea to attack russia has a sucky life.

Every day hundreds of people are killed doing every day things. Hundreds more are killed by easily curable diseases. It's time to wake up to the world we live in. People make fun of you? Boo hoo. Unless you're dying, homeless, or alone because your family has been killed, then your life does not suck. You are better off than 95-99% of the world. Sure people can say "Oh just ignore it" "they're just jealous" "psychobabble." But it all comes down to one simple fact: If you take just one second to look at the rest of the world, your problems amount to nothing and crying about them is a complete waste of time.

Also, I can't tell if you are in high school or middle school. At first I wanted to say high school but then you brought up the name calling fights which sounds middle school because nobody does that in high school as that is quite childish. So, once you get to your 10 year high school reunion and you ask what someone does for a living and they say "i'm the manager of ____ store" or "i fix electronics" or "i'm a waiter" you can look at them, smile, and coolly say "I fight terrorism" or whatever the fuck it is you want to do as long as it's imporant. and cool.

When I was a lot younger and I don't like to eat my vegetables, (until now, I still hate vegetables even though I already know the health benefits of eating it) my mom would always say, "You should eat because not all people is lucky enough to eat like you do."

Now that I am experience earning and saving money, (but I'm still in college though) and whenever I remember what my mom always said, I go "What the hell do I care? People ain't lucky enough to eat like I do because they wasted their life slacking around instead of making themselves useful so they can put food on the table." And whenever I encounter a kid that would walk up to me and beg for food or money, I always say, "You're still strong right? Why don't you just work so you could eat? Why don't you just be a paper boy or work part time in a junk shop just to eat?"

My point? Why would you think that "At least I'm still lucky unlike some people who can't afford to put food on the table."? They're not your problem. Why would you focus on their problem? Focus first on bettering yourself. That way you could gain so much that you won't have to worry about those unlucky people anymore because you can have the power to help them out.

 

paragon, i find that post of yours appauling. if your gonna compare every problem or issue to the rest of the world, then nothings going to matter now is it.

if someone is feeling down or troubled for whatever reason, acknowledge it, validate it, try to be of some support. dont rip into someone and minimise what they're feeling, thats completley insulting and makes it that much harder for people. you would not be able to honestly say that you have never been down, and in those times you were down, i doubt they compared the the rest of the worlds problems, and i bet that didnt change how you felt.

and someone living at their parents when they're 30 is no insight into the quality of life that person has. someone finding out their children have been killed does not equal a sucky life. realising that your dying, does not mean your life is sucky. life is bigger than an event, or an idea, or how it ends. it isnt measured by one thing. ive known people to be homeless, ive known people to have their sons killed, ive known a guy whos father was murdered, i know people whove been in and out of jail, i know some grossly traumatised people, and many of them love life, they might think certain things suck in their lives, but not their life alltogether.

im dissapointed in your post.

Darktemplar_L, i personally dont have much advice. Though good on you for raising the issues in your own mind, and activley seeking some solution. People go through ups and downs, what ive found in my own life and what ive seen in others is that people can find inner strength through your friendships and activities and other connections which can help you become more resiliant to the hardships life throws at you.

though thats all ive got. wish i could be of more help.

josh - thats called being incredibly selfish. it's the bottom of some guy's philosophical model. Above that is helping the community and then growing the community to different level (family, neighborhood, county, state, country, etc... [not necessarily these levels]) the highest level in that model being realizing that everyone is in the same community so you should treat everyone in the world the same (not treating yourself better)

headstock - give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime. By telling him how to get past what he is feeling I have in a sense taught him to fish. By telling him that people have ups and downs isn't even really giving him a fish it's more like saying there are fish. Yay? I'm sure he knows that already.

Also, you can't have inner strength from exterior things (friends, activities, family) these are exterior things that you can draw outer strength from. Inner strength is all you.

And finally, you are taking "life sucks" out of context. Darktemplar is taking a single event and saying that it is causing life to suck at this time. He is not saying that his life as a whole sucks as you are trying to say for my examples. Nobody in their right mind would say that they have, at that time, a great life after any of those things I said have happened. Sure their life could be great up until that point but nobody except you is talking about that.
