Wasn't Gordan partially responsible for the resonance cascade?

Well he is responsible for putting the crystal inside the machine, but the experiment was not suppose to include the resonance cascade. So the real faulty guy is the one that did not think about it and said "Oups!" after the resonance.

@GMG : Oh you mean responsible about that part! Well he did save earth and freed the Vordigon when he did that. I did not know it was for this reason that earth was enslaved. Don’t forget that he was manipulated by the G. Man all the way to the finish. He did not really leave Gordon a choice about joining them or not.

Like I said Gordon Freeman only tried to survive, the chains of events are kind of against him I admit.

I have a question. If a blackhole was to be created. Would it be instant destruction or torture of gravity ripping you??? It's kinda scaring me =p

Dear god this thread has becoming bloated..... any who.... it appears the LHC has undergone its first few particle runs without any eventful events worth calling eventful events that are worth putting on event boards on forums, or threads, or anything.... ah well.... OCTOBER HERE WE COME.

Also, in relation to the question about dying in a black hole, uhhhh, well no one really knows, you see no one has ever died from prolonged exposure to a black hole before, but I would think of it as a rather quick process involving you being ripped in half faster than your nerves can tell your brain... that you've been ripped in half. But then again i know very little about nerves and even less about black holes.... So don't trust me.

IF a black hole big enough was created, you'd be crushed instantly from the immense gravitational force. Probably won't even have time to think. It'll be over before you know it.

Yeah, to have a great gravitational force as powerful as you're saying, it'd need to be a pretty large black hole. This's an insignificantly small one, so wouldn't have the forces to instantly consume the entire planet.

    Remember...

@Vodka. Actually, the one responsible for the resonance cascade is probably G-man, because he is actually the one that delivers the crystal to Black Mesa. So, ok, I'll agree with you; most of the events are not Gordon's direct fault, but he does promise a lot of explosions and alien invasions. :p

On the subject matter; when the first nuke was tested some people thought it would incinerate the atmosphere and destroy the earth (or something like that). People are paranoid.

    Who knows?

Maybe this thing changed our senses of time and/or our memory.

Maybe we have all been created a day ago, and that our ancestors have been violently slaughtered in a huge cataclysmic issue yesterday morning.

    Oh hai,
    my name is Jissé.
