    Canada, eh?
If it's at home, I simply don't put on lettuce.

Getting food, I usually request without or order something that doesn't have any.

Yeah, i agree with SOGE. a lot of times whether the food is good depends on who makes it. For example, my brother eon hates spinach and artichokes but we went out to eat at red lobster once and he loved the artichoke and spinach dip.

Also, lasagna is pretty awesome, but I gotta say, spaghetti owns it. Any italian food is normally pretty good. Cajun stuff is my favorite x3 but on the topic of sauces, yes. D: I don't like them sweet, i want them with their original flavour, not the nasty aftertaste of something sweet, unless it's a desert.

Also, SOGE reminded me about bursselsprouts. Yeah, they're not all that bad, but I hate them. I didn't judge them, so I didn't just scream ew and run, I tried them and I spat them out. I've had them on multiple occasions throughout my years, but i still can't stand them. My brother and i gave them a nickname SOSs, or Sprouts Of Satan. On another note, though, I really like spinach :3 Just not cream of spinach Dx

I love spinach, and I can only eat a few brussel sprouts at a time before they overwhelming.

I prefer lasagna to spaghetti, mostly because lasagna is a rare treat, while spaghetti is pretty common at my house.

I don't think I've ever had artichokes. Never been to red lobster either.

The thread that came to mind when I saw this was that one where I ended up eating canned tuna in chocolate sauce. It was nasty.

I can't say I like liver, but it isn't that bad. Once I had some cheap Americanized haggis (the FDA disallows the lungs) at a festival, and it had a liver flavor but the texture was somewhat weird. My uncle tried it and said that he had had better haggis in Singapore. I'd like to try some real haggis at some point.

I will usually try something if someone says it is tasty and possibly even if they say it isn't.

Ugh... duck blood soup??? That stuff looks disgusting. And that other website with top ten disgusting foods, I'm surprised Ox ***** was not in the top five.

I don't really find any food necessarily disgusting, except for whole squid. I mean, one time my mom bought really small, probably two inch long, squids that still had their head on. After a long moment of hesitation, I ate it whole and while I was chewing it, I suddenly tasted something extremely salty... I think it was the ink maybe... disgusted me...

As for vegetables, they are fine when they are made delicious. Like... say carrots, eating it raw can taste bad but if you cook it with something, it is pretty good. I like almost all vegetables except for bell peppers, not the spicy ones but just those huge ones that come in red, yellow, and green.

The gambas is a big shrimp. You have 2 sorts : from rivers and from sea. When you take from sea you don't need to add salt on the water to cook them. And their natural salted water gives them a delicious taste. And you just need to take their head off and eat their abdomen.

And about sugar on the tomatoe sauce for spaghetti and lasagne ? Well you know tomatoes are acid, don't you ? The sugar, normally just one tea spoon of sugar, or one share of sugar is needed just to give the sauces a sweet taste. Else as you add salt, and a lot of acid ingredients in the sauce this will not taste good, will taste acid.

Plus those acids attack the teeth. And you feel pain on them after eating a spaghetti or a lasagne.

About my mother's lasagne sauce : it is exactly the same tha the spaghetti sauce, but you just add a sort of white cream (Béchamelle sauce) with one yellow egg, butter, flour, milk, salt and muscade nut. Actually she prepares the "red sauce" and the "white sauce" separately.

Well. And the most disgusting food for me ? Just eating non fresh fishes. You become sick and vomit ...

I know tomatoes are acidic, you can clearly tell by their taste, thing is, the sweetness in an acidic sauce, doesn't complement each other at all. Sugar is much worse for the teeth then acids are anyway. Your own saliva is an acid, and tomatoes aren't acidic enough to damage your teeth, but sugar makes the bacteria in your mouth grow rapidly, so it is worse, besides, I take care of my teeth, so I'm not really worried about them.

Gamba sounds nice, I've always loved shrimp.

    You moms lasagna sounds good.

Thank you. I'll tell her that like this : "hey mom, there is a comrade on a forum in internet who likes your tomatoe sauce. I talked about this sauce to him". :D

Yes, you're right about sugar : it is worse than salt for the damages of the teeth. I forgot that.

i've eaten a lot of stuff on dares because food doesn't really gross me out. I've been paid a dollar to eat a whole squid, like you said TempL, about the same size, too. It was actually pretty good.

Then again, I love seafood, raw or cooked. I've eaten raw oysters, raw squid, raw shrimp, raw crab, raw frog. And I've eaten them all in their cooked counterparts, too. What I really love though is sashimi. Not sushi, though that's good, too. Sashimi is just the raw stuff, often set on top of rice or noodles, not chemically cooked or mostly vegetables like sushi is.

    Sashimi
    Sashimi I've eaten

In the second pic, the top little rolls are sushi, and the pieces of fish on the little rice things are sashimi. I've eaten octopus sashimi, flounder, whitetail, shrimp, cod, and some other fish i can't remember the names of. It's really good, especially with soy sauce, though my sis and brother both cringe when they see me eat it at Chinese buffets and the like. I've also eaten frog legs (cooked). It's a -very- interesting taste. Second only to lamb (for me) in its uniqueness. It tastes kinda like a fish, and a regular meat at the same time. Sounds gross, but you can taste that fish taste lingering a bit on the regular flavour. I recommend eating it sometime, its not really like chicken, but not too out there.

I don't like caviar (I think that's the right spelling. it's fish eggs, if i didn't), however. I've tried it (it's been on sushi before) and it's really gross and too salty D: idk why it's so well liked, it's bad tasting and just way waaaay to salty. And you're talking to someone who will drink vinegar and Worchister sauce (kinda like soy sauce only tangier) plain.

Fish tail soup? You can eat fish tails? I thought they were too bony and fibery to eat.
