In the same way that people have to be co-ordinated not to bite down on forks when having dinner and wolves have to be co-ordinated not to bite their paws when feeding from a carcass? The spines on their arms aren't likely to get in the way when eating, due to their direction and the way they hold their prey, and not biting their own arms hardly requires co-ordination.

 

Oh yeah, try wolfing down food by just slamming it in your mouth, at the end of a knife and try not to stab yourself. Then tell me that that requires no coordination.

 

What? Wolves don't hold the meat with their paws, it's on the ground - why would they need to be cautious?

 

@ darkone. They're not going to be eating so fast that they're at risk of accidentally eating themselves. Mantises may be co-ordinated, but eating doesn't require co-ordination.

@ kuvasz. They need to be cautious because I needed another example. But seriously, I didn't mean they physically held it, just that they hold it down with a paw.

The blood on the front of the spade needs to dry, I need to find some dark blue shorts, then I have to put fake blood on the back of the shovel, and finally find a way to do my hair.
