Do you? Understand that I was once a Christian, I once believed in god, I once asked for forgiveness. I lost my faith, so many things happened to me, that I just couldn't imagine a god existing teaching of goodness and happiness to his followers, and humankind in general, when what was going on to was happening.

If the person wants to hear about it, then fine, be my guest, but don't continue trying to teach someone something they don't want to hear about. A lot of people are overzealous about their faith. If someone doesn't want anything to do with it, then you should leave them alone. If they wish to have a discussion on it, talking about their views on things, then have the discussion with them about it, but don't force it down their throats. Not just Christians do this, aethiests do it, Muslims, Jews, every religion(or lack thereof) will have zealots.

That sounds like a contradiction to me.

This is the mentallty that gets you pegged as a zealot. Who are you to judge the rest of us huh?

Again, who are you to judge him? Aren't you not supposed to judge people, that only God has the right do to that?

You will find that the majority of the human population, have done this. Or will do this.

Indeed, Darkone, speaking from his point of view, me and you are going to spend an eternity of suffering and pain in hell.

And hes ok with this because Gods word is perfect.

    Christianity is so retarded.

Nope, thats actually the case in this respect, we are going to hell according to his bible, of which is the word of god.

If he disagrees with the bible, then he is infact not a Christian per say.

Im just telling you what according to his belief is going to happen to us.

As do all christians, catholics. yet do they bring this up? Do they talk of the atrocities commited in the bible by their lord?

No. You see, deep down they all know its wrong, they all know that it has nothing to do with a supreme being, they all know such genocide, slavery, sexism is the creation of ignorant mankind. But to disagree with their 'lord' on his ideas, is a sin.

Frankly, i think they're scared. Which is really pitiful.

    Christians=Catholics

You are being pushy. If you want to have an aethiest only discussion, were it won't offend people, then go ahead, but you are talking in a public forum.

You are being rude to all Christians Babmer.

I am being rude to christians?!
Thats funny, did the concept of burning in hell for eternity not offend you as it did I?

Im not denying anyone the ability to post or talk in this thread, if they lack the courage to question their beliefs then so be it, i will call them scared cause thats what they are. Although its not going to stop me discussing such delusional ideals.

Christian does not = Catholic, They are divergent religions. They are built on different foundations, and they propose different ways of salvation.

Yes you are being rude, just because you find it rude, doesn't mean you should be rude back.

No it doesn't offend me, because, I don't believe it will happen.

Calling their ideals delusional is bad, pushy, and rude. That is the very thing that makes violence across religions, because people can't respect the other persons beliefs.

There are Catholic Christians, and Protestant Christians. They still follow Jesus Christ as their saviour.

I understand that the word "delusion" is uncomfortable. However, it is the correct word in the English language to use. The dictionary defines "delusion" in the following way:

"A false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence."

Dont compare my use of "delusional" to the justification of Religious wars, they have nothing to do with each other.

Bamber, I swear to God, if I see ONE more goddamn attack, insult, anything that strikes me as impolite, you're getting a week long ban.

If you can't say what you're trying to say without being an asshole about it, shut the hell up.

oh cmon now bamber, now my thread is locked...
    anyways, my last word:

i guess i can say that it doesnt really matter if i believe "him" or not, it doesnt really matter if i go to heaven or not...
if our mortal lives arent important and the only thing that matters is going to heaven,

then what is the point of living here?
i say what is important is now....

and if someone wants to reply here, then convince fenix or other mods to reopen thread
