I don't think we have enough details from Blizz concerning nuke at this point.  Not enough to know whether nukes will drop faster in SC2 or if burrowing saves you from it.

They did confirm that for now, the nuke targetting marker will still be "the dot."

I heavily doubt that burrowing a few feet underground can save you from mankind's most deadliest weapon. This thing leaves craters behind! 8)

I personally like the new targeting reticle for the nuke.

Myself, I liked the new target. ;o Easier to detect, but you don't have much time to get out of the way/kill the ghost. Would be more skills and action, but alas, that's not the case.

The new marker is only visible to the nuking player. Enemy players will still only see "the dot."

dunno if this has been asked yet but does the nuke target show the blast area of the nuke? because in sc1 you just had to kinda guess. but if it shows then you can leave you units JUST out side of the blast area and laugh as the opponent gets pwned while you dont get a single scratch

I repeat, enemy players only see the damn dot. Now answer your own question.

Yes, the enemy players still have to frantically search their entire base for that tiny red dot, while you get the benefit of seeing how large the explosion will be and what will caught in the blast. This might be helpful in using the nuke more effiicently as a unit destroyer rather than solely for bases.

I think I may have misunderstood UchihaItachi0129's post. If it was about the nuking player staying just outside of the blast radius, then I'd think you'll be able to do that easier with the new marker. If this is the case, the I apologize.

But if it was about someone barely dodging an incoming nuke from the enemy, then no, it will still be the same as in SC1 as you still only see the dot.
