Yeah, we were pretty evil back then, but we also made the world economy thrive like bamboo in a jungle. The US kinda messed up now. Maybe we should get control. ;)

VOC is the Dutch East-India Trading Company?

All we get is we did this and that to the natives, they didn't know what they where signing because the translation was crap, now we have to give them increasingly large reparations as our economy worsens...

Yes, that is what VOC means. In Dutch we say: Verenigde Oost-Indishe Compangie. Holland made a deal with the rulers of the different rulers there. They would get money and keep their power, as long as they forced everyone under their control to make spices for the VOC. When anyone refused, they would send in the KNIL, which is some sort of private army, to kill everyone who refuses to produce spices. There is much more, but these are the basics. Kinda evil, eh?

There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers.

    That's just a joke...

There are that many, or even more, galaxies, which all have billions and billions of stars in them.

Lol gotta love people, you can tell them that there are a billion stars in the sky and they'll believe you, but tell them that a wall is wet with new paint and they have to find out for themselves.

That's because they can't find out if there really is a billion stars in the sky, just like that, just by themselves.
