I've a new name with every new era i'm going through.

When i think about a new name, i let inspire me by things around me^^
By the name Dissy i saw an floppy disk. it sounds a kind of funny to me^^... but floppy disk was a way too long to say and to write, so i thought about some new creations.... Dissy was born

The story is a bit cooler, when you know, that floppy disk is in german called "Diskette" :/

Zerat is short from Zeratul,
at the begginig of my live in the net I was known as Zeratul, but my friends called me Zer for short. Zer was in many places to short for a login so I changed the nick to Zerat for something in the middle from Zer to Zeratul, I use this nick form 1999 and only once fuond a place where it was used by someone else

 

My name is David, my surname begins with an L, I call myself Lord David. I call myself here, as I do in other forums elsewhere, on my Myspace page and at PhotoshopContest, as do I call myself Lord David on battlenet when playing Starcraft. 8)

Call me as you like (I might suggest Dord, it started at PSC after a Mod there started calling me that in the chat room), as long as it is reflective of my name of course. :good:

i have quite a few screen names, namely gr3ykn1ght, nitrofusion, flameshadow, and the observer. well, the history is mainly speculation.

greyknight was when i saw that there were nicknames like whiteknight and darkknight (or blackknight, but it sounds a bit racist though), and these names kinda had the light and dark side thing to it (quote star wars),so i thought of using greyknight, since i'm just in the middle, not entirely bad and not entirely good. also, it sounded cool, and coincidentally, nobody was using it.

nitrofusion and flameshadow came together, they're just names i came up with, also they're both convenient, you can call me either nitro or flame over the internet.

theobserver is a nickname i also picked when i kinda realised my game tactics is to just wait and observe what others do before attacking their weak point. i kinda realised it when i was playing starcraft with my bro, my dad and my sis, and when i was allied with my bro i was using observers to scout and observe my dad's base first. life's about the same if you think about it, cos you always have to think and observe before doing anything.

Well, at our LANs, me and my buddies usually pick extremely ridicolous and humorously names for fun when playing games like SC or WC3. I decided to combine two titles this one LAN for a name, which ended up in SirBaron (and eventually SirDuke, but that one i ditched). Usually these are only temporary, but my buddies liked it a lot (in a condescending kind of way) so i decided to stick with it.

 

Some cool stories behind IGN's lol. My name is very obiously from SC, but i normally use: "TaeKwonDevil" or "DeadBranch" as screennames in forums.

TaeKwonDevil (Tae for short) was a secret homenage to Chuck Norris.

DeadBranch (DeBra for short, yes ha ha), I originally made this name up for a guild in a certain game.

Tony Jaa is so much cooler than Chuck Norris.

 

I was planning to use this name online for Starcraft Ghost.

But continuing from SC1 in SC2 I'll be Box_O_Dirt or if that's taken Box_O_Mud.

'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. LoL! You probably thought I was going to continue but I didn't which came as a surprise to you. Anyway, II used to be called FizzleBoink but I decided to move onto Vocal Motion and ImaGiNe. Vocal Motion started from me seeing a Local Motion t-shirt but the L looked like a V and I had read it wrong, but after saying it a few times, it all came together and I could use speech to make gestures, so 1 + 1 = Vocal Motion.

ImaGiNe. came to me as something I love to use, as a child I would always use my imagination and well now it just looks cool.
