I have said this before.

My name is from my past love for pokemon. Eevee was my favorite pokemon and all its evolutions ended with the letters e-o-n, thus 'Eon'.

The master came from a compination of the saying 'pokemon master', and because I was a 'master' of the eevee evolutions.

Thus my name came from eevee. 'Eon' and 'Master' became 'EonMaster' 8)

Ah quite a story that.

I used to play Starsiege and needed an online name. My favorite vehicle was the redator tank but that namewas taken so I found something similar. I would like to note that I do like Star Trek but that is not where I decided the name from

I started using kuvasz as my nick in all the games I've played about 4 years ago when a few of us had a LAN party and I had to pick a nick. I don't know why I chose this... I'm more of a cat lover so I don't understand ;D

Roleplaying of sorts. Whenever I play new character I use different personality and features, so there's more than just one 'me' to me. But it's not just roleplaying, we all behave differently in various situations, for example generally people talk in different manner to their parents then they do to their friends or boss at work.
My nick MAY sound like 'first thing that came to my mind' but is not, also I use it for nearly 8 years over the internet (whenever it's not taken yet, which as you may guess is not often)
I also never change it, like adding 'e's or numbers (Meeeee, Meee123 etc.)... maybe once or twice ;p But usually if I need something else I use different nicknames like Laird, Gorun, Mortazar among others.

I have merged this thread [How did you get your aka?] with an ancient, ancient thread of the same topic, so you can see some of the older responses.

 

Ah of course, I tried looking for a thread like this (every forum is bound to have one), but didn't find it.

Any way yeah... I got my name becuase I've always been the worst person at coming up with a name, even just a random one. In fact when I had Guild Wars I couldn't come up with anything at all so I named my character "I Hate Names" any way I first got this name becuase I went to a friends house and he showed me this little online game and wanted me to make a account. So I sat, and sat and sat thinking and he got mad at me taking so long and bugging me to type something in. So I put in ssj becuase I use to watch dragonball Z which was an anime and it just popped in my head, and than I put fox just becuase I think fox is a cool name.

My favorite NFL team is the San Francisco 49ers and my favorite number is thirteen. So, when I was younger I would utilize 'ninerman13' for every screen name - e-mail, AIM, Amazon account... etc. Now that A) college football has overtaken NFL and B) I'm a bit older, I use more practical names and e-mails for those accounts.

So why is my screen name ninerman13 here? A throw-back to the past, if you will.

 

Its cool to see how people got thier names. Interesting to see what people came up with the names they did.

I was on a roadtrip a few weeks before I joined this forum. During that roadtrip, I bought a gasmask as a souvenir. The few times I've played CS, I've always played as the SAS guy with the gasmask.
That's when I started to use the name.
But I guess that the roadtrip is what weights the most.
One of my friends calls me "the gasmask guy", but I thought that I'd just skip the _ .

 

I forgot a little bit more to my story...

Terran God or Terran Emperor aka SlayerS_boxer or Lim Yo Hwan is my idol of Starcraft.

So...I played Terran as my main race. Unfortunatly, I found out that I am better at Protoss or Zerg since Terran requires too much micro.

But I don't want to admit this fact, and Terran is my favorite race so...you get...

Easy, a quanta is a single quantity of energy. A single photon is 1 quanta of light for example. I'm a physics student so anything that has to do with physics fits me.
