Kinda hard to understand what the **** you meant there, but I think you were lashing out against the death penalty/killing to solve problems/violence/etc. What would you have done with Osama? Life imprisonment, maybe?

I also do not carry emotional burdens from 9/11. I was more asking for the general feel people are getting in nations across the world. Do the unrelated countries really even care that much?

    that post was just 1n5ane.

Life imprisonment would end up with either a guard trying to kill him, or multiple attempts to break him out.

ofc not life imprisonment. I agree with drie that it wouldnt be efficient.
my last statement was merely a thought that perhaps we could be tortured him...and had a good time doing so :)

Meh, personally, I don't get any kicks out of torturing people, no matter what they did. Just get rid of those little *bleep*-ers, and all will be fine.

Well in a perfect world Osama would be arrested and put onto (public) trial in the U.S.A., convicted (I assume) and sentence to life imprisoment in a maximum security prison.
In the real world Osama would never really make it alive to any sort of prison and if yes it would be in Cuba and any sort of public, transparent trial would be a matter of utopia. Even if it were not he would get killed in the prison sooner rather than later anyway.

In a perfect world, humanity is nonexistent

look at it as entropy: as time goes by, disorder increases. So does the human population :D

Right, but the proportion between the two remains pretty much the same.

He's been reported (suspected?) dead several times before, but since its been publicly announced he is no longer amongst the living (despite no confirmed evidence giving to the public yet), it is safe to say he is no longer a working asset for the CIA, and other like-minded groups for support of their phony war on terror. So, what is next... world war 3?

I am going to go on off on a limb here that we can expect catastrophic false flag operations in the future, and vengeful al'qaeda the scapegoat.

Well, in the aftermath of a WW3, you can expect monumental social changes on a global scale, for better, or for worse.

I distinctly doubt it. The power blocks aren't clear enough for world war three and nuclear weapons are too readily available for another hot war. Also, there isn't really a precedent for world wars causing massive social changes. world war 1 did empower the female equal rights, but that didn't fully succeed until a few decades after.

And even if conspiracy theories are true, the end of Bin Laden by no means means the end of terrorism.

This is going on the assumption that if a third world war occurs in the future, nuclear weapons would be used, and it would be so disastrous that most of society would have to be rebuilt from the ground up. This could possibly leave civilization as we know it open to many social changes. After WW2, many social changes did occur, such as the establishment of universal healthcare in England, just to name one example.

But yes, bin laden's death does little to hinder terrorism. Assuming his death was faked, or even if it wasn't, publicly announcing it served as a good political move. Americans are yelling, "Go America!". "Praise Obama!" and slapping each other high fives while the dollar continues to plunge. A temporary distraction.

Why would we assume his death was faked?

They said they confirmed his identity by DNA testing, but why did they find it necessary to dump his body into the sea? No pictures either? Seems a little shady so far, DNA testing is a good confirmation, but who really knows if that was carried out honestly.

He has been suspected dead several times in the past. Even in 2002, the FBI’s top counterterrorism official, Dale Watson had suspected when he said, “I personally think he is probably not with us anymore."

Right, the difference here is that the president interrupted regularly programmed television for a rushed public speech regarding Osama's death.

And between which states would this World War 3 happen exactly? If USSR and USA survived each others existence for over 70 years I doubt that the risk would be higher now than it was then.

There's no evenly matched countries with enough to DIFFERING ties to incite such a large scale conflict. Remember, the majority of militarily strong nations are part of the NATO, and the strong ones that aren't don't have any formal ties.

Many years in the future the US defaults and refuses to hand California over to China causing China to invade Taiwan sparking the Jasmine revolution while Pakistan falls to extremists after the Americans take Iran leading to India invading Pakistan, the United Arab League (Led by the Egyptian military junta) aids Pakistan and attacks Israel bringing the bloated nation of Deutschaeurope to their aid alongside America.

North Korea starts to collapse so they invade South Korea while the US is distracted. The mobilised UAL causes uprisings in Indonesia and Africa leading to all of their governments collapsing. Ethanol sales crash leading to Brazil electing a drug dealer as president to join mexico in capturing South America.

    ????

The United Societies of Singapore (Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong ) finally achieve world domination.
