I know but they can still avoid getting hit when attacking. Just stating an instance when they miss. ^_^

    It is as T-man stated.

Other cases not covered under the % miss mechanic(high ground and doodad) usually involve making the target suddenly non-targetable, or at least unattackable. This is usually limited to premature-death, recall, or stasis. Interceptors re-entering a carrier I believe would also fit this case.

Yes, at a certain point the interceptors stop taking damage when they are almost inside the carrier.

Yes, this is true... There is an extremely low chance that the attack will miss altogether. This happens rarely, but has happened to me about 5 times when a dragoon, a marine and a ghost missed completely and my unit took no damage when it was on same terrain and was trying to run away. Theres only like a 00.1% chance of that happening though. If you watch your units carefully, you might see that on rare occasion they miss for no reason. (all these units missed on different occasions, not trying to chase down a single unit)

In warcraft 3 u could dodge projectiles by blinking. Maybe it just loses its homing target when u do. Also note in Diablo2 there was a amazon ability to slow projectiles so my guess is they use them as actual projectiles. If they hit you you take damage.

Well, typically tanks can already tank out a lot of units... when sieged but projectiles do miss and its probably going to be similar to SC1
