Wait, you can turn off auto attack for banelings?

That would be news to me. It would also make my life a lot easier, since right now I have to queue up redundant move commands when I don't want my banelings to accidentally detonate.

No you can't turn off auto-attack on banelings. Haivo apparently didn't understand what I was saying.
You can suicide blink a stalker inside the opposite army's baneling group before it attacks to pop a few banelings before they do damage elsewhere provided you scout where the army is massing, not wait for the attack to happen and throw your stalkers in front of it.
Same about the thor. Boxer dropped a thor where fruitdealer had his banelings gathered and popped lots of them(though fruitdealer was fast enough to move some of them away he did lose like 10 of them)

Can you add me NerdPolice 984, I just want to show you an example of what I mean, there isn't a turn off button for auto attacks, it's just you path it to wards the enemy units and X them 1 by 1. Maybe some of the zerg just really let them go but I kind of micro them more.

You still don't understand what I'm saying. I'm talking about before the baneling attack happens. During the time frame between you make the banelings and you start pushing when your army is idle holding some position.

Will edit later, in a rush right now :p

Edit: Was moving to another location :p

Anyway I can't add you cause I'm in eu, but I think I do understand what you mean(you mean walking the banes between enemy lines and click+x blowing each up when it's close to enough troops to do good damage with fast micro, if it's something else, correct me plz), but i'm just referring to when you have banelings but don't attack and the enemy scouts your army gathering getting ready for a push. At that time dropping some heavy unit into where lots of banelings are if such a thing is possible(way not guarded by hydras/corruptors, banelings not surrounded by an impenetrable wall of army) then sacrifising a heavy unit and possibly the dropship for it can lead to an advantage for the zerg's opponent(dropping a roach with an overlord on top of a group of banelings can pop in the ideal situation 8 banelings(if the surrounding units don't get to hit the roach before the banes blow up) but even 2 mean an economic advantage to the guy that dropped the roach).

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. That's why I try to always queue up movement commands for banelings in the field. Literally I shift click a small 'patrol' path and try to refresh it as needed. It's not perfect (or rather I'm not lol), but it helps a lot for people trying to disarm your banelings, especially if you need to look away for a second or micro something else, and might miss that lone suicideling or blinking stalker, etc.

yeah I understood that from your post, but it seems like a difficult to pull thing... Personally I'd be unable to do it as it seems like it needs too much apm and I lack in that department even from early-game on.. :p

Yeah that's exactly what I meant, and a lot of APM is needed for those kind of stuff, during a battle if I use banelings and infestors it spikes up to like 300-400.
