How was I s'posed to know that you could squelch someone? Never played the game.

Question is, did he make it where he couldn't talk in the guild chat? Pretty sure I didn't read that in there anywhere. Things work differently for each game/community. It's up to the person in charge in an individual place to be fair and do what they need to do to the best of their abilities according to how the place works. Is it safe to assume that an officer would have the ability to prevent someone from talking in a guilds chat if they were being a pest? Again that's why they're appointed.

And on the topic of calling him "the Mexican". I'm pretty sure it would feel less racist to type "the victim".

Just trying to help, and pass on experience.

Dark I was pretty sure you didn't know about the squelch feature which is why I was pointing it out, I wasn't trying to be accusatory. Good advice on using "the victim" though, some days my vocabulary just sucks.

i have played the game for 4 years, was officer in a guild for 1, and i didnt know about the squelch feature : / .

I say kick his guts. there is a very thick line between using a racist slur as verbal assault and outright racism. With verbal assault, you can clear things up, things were said that are not meant. With racism, you probably cant, seeing as how he attacked a group, and its kinda hard to do that in a fit of anger against one guy.
